Anyone done BOTOX before or in place of FFS?

A short while ago speaking to a plastic surgeon he suggested I should consider BOTOX.

I'm scared of the injections and don't want to look like "Melanie Griffith" either.
I find it awful. Also that it needs to be redone every 3 - 6 month!!!

Any personal experiences?
