I had a minor passing win, and I just had to share, cuz I'm always scared of never being able to pass. If anyone else has stories, by all means, tell 'em.

So I work at a stable - I'm not out yet, but when I do come out, provided I don't quit, I'll be the only male on staff. I'm pretty sure no male has been a TA/teacher assistant there in at least 6 years. Anyways, we had a riding summer camp come through, and me and two other TAs were showing them how a jump course works, how lunging a horse goes, and then making them run the jump course, cuz they were all hyper. Like many people, I tuck my hair up in my riding helmet to keep it out of the way. Unlike the other two TAs (both teen girls) every kid, aged 7-14 in the camp thought I was a boy until a coworker called out my name, even after they heard female pronouns. They then professed very loud disbelief and a few of the littler boys were convinced that my coworkers were trying to prank them into thinking I was a girl. I was laughing, but not for the reason my coworkers thought. 

Hah hah, sweet. Must have felt good.
My most recent pleasing moment was when I beat my girlfriend at table football, and the janitor of the place we played in told her that "he has to buy the drinks now", referring to me. Manly times.

I have a passing fail to share Just to make you feel even better about yourself.

I personally think I barely pass at all, but apparently I do because no one at work suspects me of being female at all (they must assume I have no testicles though :/ Either that or some people are far more gullible than I thought).

Anyway, I was being trained by a guy the same age as me, who is tall, pencil-thin, with a big chin strappy beard and long, scraggly hair tied up in a pony tail. He's basically a normal looking 21-year-old hippie dude.

And then there's me, who either looks like a fat 12-year-old boy or a fat 21-year-old butch lesbian. In my holy opinion.

He and I were ringing through this middle-aged woman's purchase and she said to my trainer, "blah blah blah SHE blah blah blah", referring to ME. We both just kind of paused for a couple of seconds, and thankfully, he hasn't brought it up since.

It used to happen all the time at my old job, where I had to come out as trans and even most of my coworkers called me "she" and used my birth name. But here, I'm stealth. Somehow.

So there's my passing fail. Just to amplify your passing win.

And damn, Ryan. That has to suck. You look overall male in your pic, if it's anything. At least your cokworker didn't bring it up.

I went to get a blood test the other week and the paper of details we took in clearly had "Jasmine" (my birth name) printed on it. Before reading it, the lady at the desk asked who the blood test is for and my mum points to me. The lady looked at it and said, "I'm sorry, but does this say "Jason?"

I had something similar happen... I went to get a blood test, handed the receptionist the paper and she started transferring my info from that paper to another one. She circled the "M" but I had to "correct" her since it was a legal form.
That was pre-T.

generally i half pass and half fail depending on the day. but today a freind rang me and said his freinds when through his phone and saw a picture of me and said. man we dont want to mess with that guy. i think that was a pass.

Yesterday I actually passed for the first time ever; I was in a vid game store browsing and one of the clerks came up and said, "Hey, what's up man?  Do you have any questions?"  Haha, I actually didn't think he was talking to me at first and then I was completely stoked when I realized he was.  It made my day 

I volunteered for a theatre festival and on the first day the venue captain gave me a shirt and directed me to the bathroom to change. I didn't realize it at the time, but the men's washroom was on the side he directed me to, and the ladies washroom was on the other side of the building. And for the entire festival, everyone I worked with assumed I was male. Highschool aged male (I'm actually 27), but male at least.

I was at the mall today with two of my friends (cisgirls) and they wanted to go in Victoria's Secret. So they're in there smelling all the perfumes and whatever and the lady working there comes over to us and is like "Aw look at this poor guy he's just standing here bored, here come with me we've got our men's scents over here" and she had me smelling all these things haha. It was pretty much my first real pass and it was awesome but I couldn't fully enjoy it cuz I'm not out to those friends (welllll kinda out to one) and one of them was laughing about it and like apologized to me. And plus whenever I pass I'm scared to talk much cuz my voice will give me away so I think I seemed rude to the worker but oh well it was still awesome

I think thats because i dont really have the courage to walk out my house dressed yet.

lmao I should of been more specific. I mean I go outside in sweats and my hair pulled back in a ponytail.

at work my name tag says my legal name "jessica" so all the adults recognise me as a female. but every single kid who says anything about me or asks me something refers to me as sir or him. i was cleaning the fishtank at work and a little boy said "mommy whats he doing?" it made me feel really good. i get recognised as a guy all the time. even in femminine clothes. i have my whole life. its super confidence boosting.

I don't pass very often... of course, I'm not usually trying to, yet, so it's understandable. However, I did have a funny experience a little while ago where I went to the shop on the corner and the man working there called me "sir". After he looked at me properly he realised his "mistake" and became both extremely apologetic and also kind of defensive and accusatory — like he said "Well, you have a man's wallet! And this hair, and shirt! Young people these days, how can I tell?!" as if he thought I would lose my temper at him for calling me sir. Really, I was so thrilled I couldn't stop smiling for hours.
