another option would be to measure yourself before you go bra shopping. there's bra size generators on the web. all you need to do is measure around the widest part of your boobs and then measure the circumference right below your boobs (the latter gives you the size as in 32 inches, 34 inches etc.). The cup size (A, B, C..) depends on the difference between the two numbers (e.g. 36 inches - 34 inches).

.....once you have found your size, e.g. 32 A, you have a rough idea of what size to buy. unfortunately most bras run small or run large, so if you measured yourself as a 32 A, you should also try on a 30 A, 32 AA, 32 B, 34 AA and 34 A. I know, it's a hassle, but you want your first bra to fit.

I'd go for a place like target rather than victoria's secret etc. because they carry more different sizes (for girls in their early teens and such) and shapes.
For your first bra you might want to get something that's mostly cotton and maybe doesn't have an underwire. At least that's what's recommended for young teens.

A sports bra does keep them down a little bit, but they're kinda hard to find in small sizes. maybe a teen sports apparel department would be a place to find one - or else, H&M carries XS sports bras.

I wonder if this question would have been better asked in the mtf subforum.  With HRT many women need bras.  It seems odd to ask men a question about bras, but that's just my opinion.

Haha  :D :D the big story usisi wami is that i have created the perfect manly disguise i mean i am feared because of fights i have had......... lol i created this image of the guy who will never be seen at something not manly lol. I may sound stupid but hell i was never a boy so i just took movies and used those characters to make myself!! But see i have always been super sensitive so i was teased like crazy so since i made this ultimate fake me i have been fine  :D :D But if someone caught me getting measured or buying a bra i will die!!  :D :D So sorry if i am just scared and trying to find as many options as possible Axelle  :D :D (Who didnt just fall in love with my completely random rant???)

My mom took me between 6th and 7th grade to get a training bra, I didn't wear it unless she told me to put it on.  I was small and they didn't cause me any problem playing even runnig and playing ball with the boys. I did actually buy a few bras on my own later on, always hated having to go into the bra area of the store and try on a few before I could buy them. I did it as fast as I could.

you can measure yourself. you can take the bus or a train to a different city or a different part of town and buy a bra there. you can say it's a gift for a girlfriend if you run into someone you know. You can order a bunch of bras online and return those that don't fit. But seriously, how is this supposed to work out in the long run? Are you planning to move away soon?

If you don't want them to show, you could even order a very light compression tank top from underworks. I'm gonna add though that in the beginning when I had growing pains, i could only ever stand cotton bras. and bras for young girls are usually very soft.
