hey there!!!

So have only been here a few weeks made an enemy and a few friends. So i noticed one huge thing age  :o :o but not that some girls do it late but that so many who do it late look just amazing!! I have seen girls my age who pass easily( i am still iffy to me ever passing but only 2 months hrt so who knows). Now i see that people are like ahh i am 33 i cant change enough to pass to ah i am 19 ??? ??? i cant pass but hello ladies have a look around we have transitions from those who did in their fifty's who look just wow  :D :D. I mean yea age effects a few thing but those small things will not ruin the general image of who you are!! I think all of us(except me  :-\ :-\) have the chance of passing and their are millions of ways to do so!!. I just want to say age is nothing if you have a positive attitude a supply of estrogen and a little nip and tuck here and there ;D ;D.WE are all quite fab in our own ways :)

I just made this little thread for all you girls who are scared of never passing. If you dont believe me just go look at the 3 official threads and get a confidence boost !!

If you disagree say so :)

Hey Zoey.  Age is just a number.  What is important is to just transition.  If I had only done it 20 plus years ago, but oh well.  Hindsight is 20/20.

As only of the older gals, Thank You for the compliment.

Everyone transitions when they're ready to.  I think we're horribly ageist, on both ends of the spectrum.
Our biograhies are our own and we need to accept our own diversity without being ashamed that we're somehow not trans enough.

I don't know, my birthday is next week and I'm definitely feeling old. :( I do wish I had started a bit earlier. I still very much want to get married.

I agree, it doesn't matter what age you are. You are beautiful no matter what and you should transition when your ready. x
Personally for me i wish i started to transition when i was like 16 because that's when i first told my mum hehe and also my Adams apple wouldn't have appeared and i could have stopped my voice from getting a bit deeper but meh oh well.

Hey girls!
Well I for one don't agree completely.
Age does make a difference in how you physically change.
But one of the biggest factor in making it (passing) is your desire and attitude.
:o Oops that's the two biggest ones.
These can over come the age problem to a certain extend.
Really I could have been a nice looking women if I had started earlier. :(
But I'd rather be a old lady than the other choose (old man) any day.  :)
I'm just happy to be the women I am and accepted as me.
;D

But without age we can't have birthdays. And that would mean no birthday cakes. Don't you try to take my cakes away from me now.

Yeah, age can matter some, your appearance, mind's frame of reference, but I agree that attitude will determine if you sub cum to your physical age. I tell myself its only a number that people know if you tell them or if they see your drivers license.

Damn straight!! ;D  Take my funfetti num nums and I'll bite your arm off.

Oops!  Brain fart. ;)  But really... it's a complex combination of age and genetics, and probably lots to do with lifestyle.  I may be 33, but I eat well, I exercise, I've never smoked, never drank, never tried a single drug, and I rarely go into the sun without sunblock (and there's a cloud outside that looks like baboon face).  To top it off, all of us on my mom's side look years younger than we are.  Luck and life, that's what it is.  Well, hormones too.

Most people who know me in real life have a hard time believing it, but no!

Although some older people can pass just as well as young people in terms of looks, they may not nessasarily have the knowledge and experience of growing up as a girl in order to know how to act like a genetic female socially. If you grew up as a man for a good part of 50 years, I would imagine it will take quite an effort to unlearn habits and to learn things which all genetic women knew froma early age.

Your so right Kairi and I know that because I started in my late 50's.
But I have found that I have much of the knowledge because of growing up with two sisters.
And having spent over 29 years with my wife.
It the experience that I have been lacking. Although I am getting it as quick as I can. ;D
And at my age it feels real weird being a teen again. But I like it. ;)

Although I'm transitioning in later life I have largely lived as my female self most of my life. But if I had been able to do so I would have transitioned as a 13 year old when I came out to my parents. But that was a long time ago, they did not have a clue what it meant, and neither did I. I just knew I was a girl. But that was before computers and before internet, even before video games. How did we ever live

Kairi,

* If you grew up as a man for a good part of 50 years, I would imagine it will take quite an effort to unlearn habits and to learn things which all genetic women knew froma early age. *

That does not always apply, because our female-self very often just pulls us constantly away from all this male-male behaviour. It ALWAY did just that with me.

Going into RLE was like a fish taking to water. And it was even amazing to myself. Also a lot would say: "And what took you so long?"

That is a clue, and also that many would see my femme-side was just a repressed Queen still in the closet.

That "Queen" came out, and now is actually is a (trans)woman.
