Hi Valerie

Why do you hate the first dates?
It's so exciting and fun, and I am very agree with Rexgsd, you shouldn't worry.

At least you are having dates Val, I am still trying to pluck up the courage to move into that area. :embarrassed:   I am only going to wait until I relocate in a couple of weeks before I  wade into the dating pool though.

I've only been on one date in my life, and it was truly terrible in every way. It's not an experience I choose to repeat.

I love my partner so much. We became close friends before becoming lovers, I think that's a far better way to find someone.

Hi Val

Never mind what her issue was, you can't look inside her head, so she had to tell or not, but it's nothing you should worry about.
It's not your job to relax her, it takes two the tango.
Just be yourself, enjoy the meeting and don't have high expectations.
Just see how it goes and take it as it comes.
It's only a first meeting, just a nice talk and enjoy the food.
If it was nice, you can make a second date, if it wasn't, say farewell.

one day you will be lucky and you'll meet a nice person.

hugs
Annette

I'm sad, i have no idea what her issue was and probably never will.

True about most things.  But hey, you got an evening of quality drinking, that's better than a lot of other options.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

Feel free not to answer but was it your decission to opt out of a second date or was it mutual ?

Sad but, nothing ventured, nothing gained.  Sounds like someone who wouldn't have been comfortable in a relationship anyway, so probably best left alone.
I have dipped a toe into the water by joining an Internet dating site. Got to be in it to win it I guess!

Thanks for answering my question. Maybe you were more woman then she could handle.  ^-^

Sounds like she was a 'Trysexual', who decided that wasn't really them at all when reality hit.
