Had laser this morning and the technician turned it up as high as it could go.  The hairs on my upper lip and some on my chin have resisted everything in 14 months' worth of sessions and she'd had enough. ;D  I teared up so badly when she did my lip that all of my eyeliner was gone after 12 short bursts.

Hopefully the hairs decide to go away this time!

Lol :laugh:...I can sympathise with you as I went through the same thing when I was undergoing laser.  Thank goodness it worked.....

Eeeks! I had my second treatment this past Tuesday, and even with 4% LMX Creme I could only stand 3 zaps at a time between 1 min breaks. Owww!

Hearing about how painful laser and such is makes me hope to never afford it  :P  I know that I'd go for it though if given the money

I was talking to a GG gal from southern Europe and she said if I decided to get it done, I'd "better be ready to kiss the porcupine's ass"  :o  I didn't get it at the time, but I think I understand what she meant now

LMAO!!!  That's actually a pretty accurate description. :laugh:  I've been stung with porcupine quills and the laser pain really is about the same when the laser is up to a level as high as I had it today.  A short sting, a welling up of pain, then a couple days of blunt soreness.  On lower settings though, it's nowhere near that pain.

And when I say it hurts like the dickens (taking my ancestor's name in vain here) I think it means something.  Before I came out, the laser tech told me that I'd already withstood a higher setting than any other guy she'd ever treated, and she's been in the biz for a while.  And today she boosted it to the max.  I'm also the type of person who could fall asleep during electrolysis because I barely feel it. ;D

The upper lip will always hurt regardless because it is the most innervated area. As for the rest of the face it depends upon these factors;

-Use of Anesthetic Creme
-Power settings (how much zap)
-Hair density
-Thicker hairs absorb more laser energy=hurts more
-Operator skill, consider tipping
-Brand of Laser used=the Lumenis Lightshear Laser covers the most area per shot, only one pass, uses suction to decrease pain
-Victim's level of pain tolerance :laugh:

Not to mention the bite out of your purse or wallet, but hey...you'll like the way you look...
