Hi.

It is early morning in the UK and I am going through my daily computer routine and thought I would say hello.

I'm a 66 year old biomale who is having specialist gender counselling for GD. I have now had 4 one to one sessions and tonight I shall be attending a group session run by my Counellor.

It will be the first time I have been introduced to others when I am dressed en-femme.

I also have a first counselling session with a psychiatrist tomorrow (Wednesday) morning and I am a little apprehensive.

Now how much I tell you about myself will be down to whether you are interested.

I am not an avid postee and will only post if I feel I have something relevant to say or a question to ask.

Best wishes,

Sarah

Mmmmmmm.

Just read a couple of other introductions. I'm afraid they made mine sound very boring and inane.

Oh well can't help who I am can I?

Not boring at all Sarah. I look forward to having you here and hearing what you have to say. Although I'm not 66, I'm not 18 either. I am very interested in what people have to say about their experiences because I think I can learn a lot from them. I probably do write a fair bit for a newbie, but I think I just want to jump in before I can run back into the closet... But that is just me, I get like that.

Hi Sarah, and welcome.  There are a fair few Poms on here so you will feel at home in no time.   I'm 57 going on 15 thanks to the HRT, so you are not the only one here who is  old enough to remember The Goon Show  first time round!

Hope you have not been affected by the riots the last couple of days.  Looked bad on the TV here.

As for the group session, I 'd say you won't be the only one nervous, and lets face it you will all be there for a common reason.  Should be good fun once you all relax and get comfortable.  Wish there was something like that locally.

Karen.

Hello Sarah,
It is good to meet you.
Hope your counselling session goes well.
Here is a little about myself.
I am 60 years and 1 month young, but I often feel like 16.
(Maybe that is what HRT is doing to me.)  ;)

BHRT (Before Hormone Replacement Therapy) living was one disappointment after another for most of my life.
Not that many bad things happened but something always dampened even the very best times.
I often felt outside looking in at myself and whatever was going on. :(

I am now happy and feel alive for the first time in a very long time.  :)

Welcome to Susan's
Hope to see more of your postings.

Hi Sarah, and welcome to Susan's! We're a diverse and friendly bunch here (the head count is over 7800) - get into things as slowly or as quickly as you feel comfortable, I'm sure you'll find plenty of support here.

And be sure to check out these links for the lowdown on the house rules:

Hopefully that avoids any further confusion caused by me shirking my mod-ly duties. ;D

Hi Sarah, nice to meet you! I'm 49 and I like it so much I just might ignore my next birthday! See you around, hugs, Tracey
