I go to the Mazzoni Center. They are pretty great. They are good with using the right pronouns and name. I did start T there. It just involved going for the first appointment, in which I talked with one of the doctors (Dr. Goodman). He asked different questions (I can't remember that well as it was in January) I think including things about how long I felt like this, etc. and questions about family support and medical history. Then I had blood drawn so they could run tests. The next step was an appointment with Amelia who is like their resident therapist or something. She discusses different effects of taking T, asks some questions to make sure that you aren't rushing into it and that there couldn't be an underlying psychological reason for you wanting to take it. Then as long as there are no concerns, you can schedule a third appointment to talk with the doctor again. I did the second 2 on the same day though, cause I had to come from NJ. So after talking with her I met with Dr. Goodman again, he looked at the blood work results, and then talked about a few more things. After that he said that he would call my prescription in, and then it could be mailed to me or to them, so I had it mailed to me. I also asked them to show me then how to do the shot so that I wouldn't have to come back and they didn't have a problem with it. So I had my first appointment on January 25th, my second/third on February 16th or so? and I started T on February 25th which is when my T got my house.
I can't remember very well, but I had called to make the appointment and then filled out the forms and stuff when I got there. But I'm pretty sure it would be okay for you to put male. I'm pretty sure they would understand especially if you are including why you are making the appointment. I'm sorry if that didn't make sense or if it was rushed, I just tried to write what I could remember. If you have any other questions, I can try to help.
