Portland icon 'Darcelle' arrested after scuffle at club, charges later dropped

Portland police say Walter Cole, 80, better known as the cross-dressing entertainer "Darcelle XV," faces misdemeanor harassment charges after arguing with OLCC officers at his club Thursday night in the Old Town neighborhood.
Police dropped the charges against Cole on Friday. Cole had said the scuffle was a "misunderstanding."

http://www.kgw.com/home/Darcelle-arrested-for-alleged-assault-of-OLCC-officers-127581928.htmlPORTLAND -- Charges were dropped against Portland celebrity and entertainment icon Darcelle after an arrest Thursday evening for allegedly assaulting two Oregon Liquor Control Commission officers in the Darcelle XV nightclub.
The issue of serving a minor is under investigation by the OLCC.
Darcelle -- also known as Walter Cole -- was booked into the Multnomah County jail on two accusations of Class B harassment and was released on his own recognizance. Two counts of harassment were dropped in court Friday afternoon.
