Bizarre plans hatched by the allies to win the second world war have been revealed for the first time – including a plot to turn Hitler into a woman.

Allies thought by smuggling female sex hormones into the fuhrer's food they could turn him into a woman and curb his aggressive impulses.

The plot was just one of a number of wacky schemes cooked up to break the war's stalemate, according to a new book by a Welsh-based author.

  A similar plot was hatched in the 60's to make Fidel Castro's beard fall out.  All attempts to remove him ended with a botched assassination attempt on Castro and the assassination of JFK.  LBJ didn't want any of this after he was sworn in.

As soon as I read the thread title, my mind was bombarded with thousands of images of "Downfall" parodies with a female lead instead of a male actor.

On a related note, someone really needs to make a Downfall parody of this, if it hasn't been made already.  Hitler could be ranting about the plot to turn him into a woman.  It would be funny.

I suspect this story will become part of WW2 folklore soon. No doubt backed by discoveries of elaborate plans and influential backers. It's purpose will be invented soon after.

With the amount of utterly preposterus and far fetched notions, regularly taken as concrete fact, about WW2, it is unlikely this silly idea will be the subject of much scrutiny.

Though the feasability of using female hormones to reduce agression, not to mention the problems of actually smuggling the stuff in, given some of the utter nonsense we've already been convinced is fact, about Hitler's domestic life, doesn't seem to be much of an issue.

Still, never mind the quality, feel the width.

Afraid they'd have needed to do that to some his top aids too. (Heidrich, Himmler, Göbbels, Bormann, Göring...) See them sitting all together over coffee and cake doing girlie talk, hey.

Also to some, HRT would have had little more effect just turning him bitchy instead of plain aggro, - like he did when stamping his foot down and then biting the carpet in frustration.
