Ill be going back to collage this year as myself, as a gurl and this is not the problem, the problem is everyone know's me curently as male, so this put's up the problem that i could end up being pointed out.
My voice is not fully fem and still male, i do pass looks wize but i know my voice will give me away, i'm not afraid to be myself i'm just concerned that i could be hurt physicaly, i can deal with verbal abuse.
i do plan to get a car but it's looking like ill be in collage 3 weeks before that happens so i'm unsure what to do at the moment, nothing gonna stop me going back but at the same time one has to be smart about this, i'm putting myself in a situation where everyone knows who i am and there is a good chance atleast 10% of the people may confront me on it, should i just be honest with them?
To make things any worse i moved in with my best friend who dosn't know i'm trans, but i do plan to tell him, if he reacts badly i may find myself either in a place on my own paying  a rent i can't aford or losing my best friend, i just hope he can find it in his heart to understand how i feel.
we been through a good bit together, i helped him get through a tought break up with his gf, he's more the manly type, and i am afraid this will change our friendship even if he is ok with it, how can a man be manly with a girl? men treat women different when it comes to hanging out and i don't want him to look at me differently, sigh so much presure on me atm, i sometimes think i should just pack it in and find myself a place of my own, but i'm not going to let that happen, i'm a fighter, i will tell him, i will get my car and whatever happens i will stay strong best i can.
i was just wondering What do you think i should do if someone does confront me?
i was wondering if you could give me any tips on how to pass better?
what should I do to keep myself safe outside collage?
what should i do in my friends situation?
any help will be much appricated and thanks for reading xxx

So, it sounds like you're going to a college that is in your own town and you expect people from high school to be going to the same college? Is this correct? Is it a university or a community college? A lot of universities have LGBT resources, clubs, counselors, etc. I recommend that you look into that and take advantage of those if you can. If the living situation proves to be unmanageable, the university may be able to pair you with someone in the LGBT community who is looking for a roommate. Good luck with everything.

Definitely seek out LGBT clubs and organizations on campus; I second that.  ;)

Dear Lucy,

Why is it that a returning student can't even spell COLLEGE correctly? Your original post is a dreadful COLLAGE of poor spelling, grammar, and usage.

I feel your original post was either a joke or a sad commentary on the "educations" our children are receiving these days. Tell me you were just kidding, please!

LOL...oi. Precisely what I was thinking, but it could have been a bit  of a mistyping catastrophe? Hopefully...

As they said previously, take advantage of the LBGT communities located on campus. They will be a big help, not  only in support but in resources as well.

Anyways, good evening to you ladies. Heading back to the men's section
