ive been on T a little bit over a year. but my BO is getting worse. maybe its because i live in texas now and i sweat alot. but ive always sweated in my downthere region, and when i do it doesnot smell good. was wondering if i should use baby powder to maybe maybe me stop sweating alot.. basically i just wanted to hear what other people use.

Wow I never realized I must of smelled bad.  I always took a shower every day.  Now I sweat a lot but do not smell as much.  I think many girls like smell of clean male sweat.  It smells of male pheromones.

A strong anti-perspirant under arms helps after a shower.  Baby powder on privates also helps.

yeah i take a bath at least twice a day, but for some reason when i sweat it sucks.. idk maybe ill just use lots of baby powder lol. it gets in 105s here and when i walk like a mile i stink.

Try a deodorant that comes in gel form in that general region. When it's going to be a real hot day I'll get a little bit of it in my hands, rub it around in my palms and then apply it to my inner thighs and my general area.

I don't know if having different plumbing would make much of a difference... But I can generally cover most all of my junk and it's saved my ... or should I say other people's noses from anything offensive many times in the summer.   

  There are some differences in the male and female BO, but not much.  As a FtM you may have to be more clean because of the presence of a vagina.  There may be still a slight discharge coming out of that you may not be aware of.  I am sweating profusely in any kind of heat, something I didn't usually do too much.  My case it is the spiro.  My underarms are fine, the antiperspirant is working, the driest part of the body.  I have to peel off my shirts this summer, soaking wet with salt marks!  Both of us has to stay clean more, even though we are moving in opposite directions!

I have the same issue. Check out the antiperspirant that has high levels of the aluminum zinc stuff. I think the degree brand I use has 18% but some of the others only have 16.

Also someone suggested this to me for chafing issues but I've noticed it has also cut down severely on sweat. I use a store brand but it works really well for the nasty smells some ftms have to deal with.

And I use generic foot powder plus shower daily.

Testosterone activates the apocine glands which cause guys to have the extra funky BO. I used to spray some Arid Extra Dry deoderant/anti-prespirant on my junk to keep it dry if I  was going to be out in the Texas heat. It also helps to wear clothes that can breathe and dry out. You can also buy underwear that is made of an anti microbial fabric .

I have also read that it can be beneficial to soak in a bath with about 1/4 cup of bleach. Some people get fungi and bacteria that cause odor in the top layers of skin that even antibacterial soap cant really get to. People with psoriasis and eczema especially find the  bleach bath therapy beneficial.

Thanks.  I still perspire; however I do not smell as bad.  Privates do not smell as bad either.  T activating a gland makes sense.  My sense of smell also seems to have improved a little without T.  I wonder if FTM's have found their sense of smell to have gotten worse from taking T?
