i'm curious. lots of people say that ciswomen are really jealous of transwomen, so they lash out on them.

I can't think of any reason why a cisperson would be jealous of us...

Can't say I've ever experienced that... but I've also never had anyone lash out at me or give me any sign that they knew I was trans.  I've had a lot of compliments from a lot of women, usually about my long legs or my fashion sense. ;D  Never anything derogatory though, thank the gods!

Yes. Every day.

They don't like the fact that I get to be a girl with benefits (no period or chance of pregnancy)

They're openly, visibly jealous of my body

They hate the fact that I can wear the clothes I want to and changing between genders means I get to do "whatever I want" (weird one)

I seem to get a front of jealousy or curiosity every waking moment I'm interacting with them.

I have a female cousin whom used to get extremely jealous of me. (Shes learnt to love herself) I've always had wider hips, and much more petite facial features.

Yeah, sure do get just that.

Like hey: "this is MY man, boyfriend," etc...

Jealous because my ass it is what they like to be theirs. Not a hugh spread...

Was told to watch out and not start "competion"... dress, etc.

Some GGs are just so insecure they can get quite bitchy, to the point they cut you out.
Some have this NEED to have any girl friend to suck up to them, and if you don't...?
You toast as far as they concerened.

Had a thread on this item not too long ago... but no 'takers'

GG jealousy... vs TG

Just got another reminder. I find it really hard to believe but within on week it was: "This is MY man" and bf  mentioning "can't be seen by you, else get into trouble."

I beg you! I'm 64! And get told not to get in to "competition" - not my words. From a 45 year old, pretty good looking with 15 year younger ~bf~

Any suggestion what I do wrong? Crawl under table, play completely dumb, and not smile? Ever.

Is this common GG behaviour any one picked up as well? Want to be friends and not long after "strange" things happen.

Also really don't dress like some hussy or tart.

I do have a couple of great girlfriends though. I miss them so bad, the first two girls I was honest with (besides my SO)

Although I am not quite sure whether it is a joke or a serious talk, many women do say to me that they envy my body, especially legs. Even a few of my old male friends used to urge me not to wear too feminine clothes in meetings, because it can dispirit our female friends. Also, most women do not like my body exposure in summer, and they complain it directly to me.

A typical final comment from those women is:

"But, he is anyway a man."

Fixed.

I would agree that your correction is the most accurate statement.

But to answer the original question as posed, the answer would be no, not even when people DID know my medical history.

lots of women respond to my transition, but men are just another story. there's men who just look at me like "yeah, i figured." it's the women who comment on my appearance. some of them do give me compliments, but then there's the women who get into business that isn't their's. i never had a guy who saw my mom and i in a grocery store and some place saying "i thought you had two sons!?" mostly, i think it's women who give me problems. they're always talking and giving you that dirty look of disapproval. men just kind of mind their own business or they beat you up if you really push them over the edge.

I've had women express jealousy over me being slim and petite but it's never seemed like an issue between a TS and a ciswoman, just one woman saying "oh you lucky cow!" to another. Also it's usually expressed in a positive complimentary way.
I've actually found those ciswomen i've told have generally made me feel more accepted than alot of people in the trans community have.

no not normally I've seen it once the point wasn't made by me it was made by someone else in that my frame was smaller than some other cis-female, It obviously offended her and she was clearly sensitive about that part of her body and she lashed out at me about it rather than the person who pointed it out.

I've not experienced jealousy as such, but indignation of another kind: How dare you take our feminine things as your own?  As if I don't have a right to enjoy them for myself, and never should.  WTF?
  •

Keaira

About the only comment that has ever been given me was by a co-worker who wished her butt was as cute as mine. o.O

to me, that sounds like jealousy. that sounds pretty similar to what Emma said. they are claiming ownership of their gender.

My sister is jealous that I don't get periods.
One of my friends is jealous of my hair.
Another of my friends is jealous that I'm skinny...
etc

Granted these are relatively good-natured, but they are also just girls being girls...

The ones that are legitimately nasty about their jealously generally don't have the best self image.

The above ticker is meant as a joke! Laugh! Everyone knows the real zombie apocalypse isn't until 12/21/12....

I like to think that the mean old transphobic cows I've encountered are just hatin' cuz I look better than they do.  :P

I had a coworker tell me that I'm "lucky" that I don't have to experience PMS. This same coworker, and a friend, have said that they are jealous of my long legs. I had another friend comment that my boobs will probably end up bigger than hers (she is very flat chested) and she said it in a way that implied that I'm somehow undeserving of breasts or shouldn't have larger breasts than her because I'm not a "real" woman. She always made derogatory and offensive comments even though she claimed to be supportive of us. Needless to say, I'm not friends with her anymore. I think thicker ciswomen are often jealous that I can wear a smaller size than them and they often act like I'm undeserving of that.
