Since I've been knee deep in trying to sort out some fashion stuff I've been looking all over the web for guys who are dressed like how I'd like to dress (warning - this could get eclectic!).

So I thought I'd share some of what I've come up with and you guys can feel free to post pics of fashion/style you're into.

Just an FYI - I found this site online last night: http://www.clothingtalks.com - They definitely have some pretty cool clothes and the prices are way cheap. I tried ordering some stuff and we'll see how it goes. I'll report back the results. Even with international shipping stuff worked out to be under $20 an item.

All those clothes look so professional...... and ugly. What you need is something you can buy at Walmart for a couple dollars. ^.^ Well maybe not Walmart, but you know.

Yeah, I shop at Walmart and Value Village. More so VV now because I work there and you can find brand-new brand name product for like, a quarter of the original price. What can I say, I'm cheap :)

But that site looks awesome and while in he summer I stick to lame Tshirts and shorts, I do like a more casual dress shirt and jeans with spiffy shoes. I don't really accessorize other than a chain necklace or something.

I have a thing for a well-designed plaid button-down (there's a lot of really ugly, crappy plaid) and dark solid colours like black, grey or brown.

If I were able to pull off hats, I'd wear ones like these:

LOL okay ... Personally I find oversize t-shirts and cargo-everything pants ugly, but hey, to each his own right? And plenty of guys can wear that stuff and make it NOT look ugly - they actually look good in that. I'm not one of those. And I'm too into mod, hip, stuff that makes my body look better ;) That's not to say I haven't bought stuff at Walmart (they have the cheapest basic hoodies and crap like socks and stuff) or even thrift stores ... which you can totally come up on awesome stuff sometimes at. I also hit up 2nd hand places like Buffalo Exchange (not sure if those are all over the place in the U.S.). So basically, I just look for stuff I like at not outrageous prices ... although I am finding I may have to invest in awesome boots because I can't find those cheap.

I'm overwhelmed with plaid myself. I mean, I have a few plaid shirts but I'm pretty bored of them now. And yeah there's some color combos of that I wouldn't touch.

I like the hat. that's pretty much like the one I just bought (experimenting with hats now).

Mmm you have a point about too much plaid. I've been obsessed with it since I was a kid, before I even realized there was a thing called "fashion" or "trend". Right now I only have two plaid button-downs. One's a flannel grey-blue with a faded pattern and it's sooo freaking warm and comfy and I'm never giving it up for something as petty as fashion :P and the other is a red with black pattern cotton/polyester. It has cool studs and stuff too.

And I have like, 8 black and pinstripe dress shirts I wear on occasion when I feel like putting effort into my dress.

But yeah, boots, best not to go the cheap route when you want good shoes of any kind. Not only will Walmart shoes F up your feet (at least if you're looking for work shoes or dress shoes - their runners and skates are fine) but shoes in the 100-200 dollar range look a lot nicer and tend to last longer. (probably because you don't wear them everywhere :P)

I shy away from anything more than $200 just because I don't have the budget for luxury fashion.... :P

I have a few plaid shirts. Everyone keeps telling me I'll look like a lesbian if I wear them!  :-\

insideontheoutside: Seeing those pictures, I am suddenly having a very strong urge to buy stuff. But, I'm a teenager with no job, and I always feel weird asking my mom to order stuff for me and then paying her back.
My personal style varies, but a lot of the stuff I would absolutely love to wear, I don't currently own. Maybe I'll find some sites and link them later on.

I do tend to have a strange obsession with cool colors, especially greys, black, and greens, and also with jackets and fingerless gloves/gauntlets.

looking through the under $10 sale section now on Clothing talks... very tempting.  I really want some of the engrish t-shirts.

I have no idea what this one is supposed to mean, but want...

edit... I started adding stuff to my cart, and was seriously going to order some stuff from the clearance section, and then realized that for 4 things that would cost about $30 shipping would be $21 and take 12-18 days to arrive.... so... not such a good deal anymore.

I think I'm just going to order some shirts from threadless when I get some money.

I don't trust that site.

I'll definitely post back when I get what I ordered. I did talk to someone on their online chat - definitely "engrish" in full effect but she was helpful and told me it would take them about 3 or 4 days to process my order since I ordered 15 things.

I'm so used to paying $20 or over for clothing items (unless I hit on something at Ross or the thrift shop) that I figured I was going to buy a number of items so the shipping didn't kill me. If the stuff works out, it's definitely a good deal when it comes to some of the stuff (I even threw a jacket in there that would have been at least double the price here).

So anyway, yeah, will report back on that site.

I like your taste, insideontheoutside!

My favourite outfits tend to be... suits, suits, more suits, ridiculous new romantic stuff, and then even more suits. I don't pass in clothes like this, though. I look too "young" to dress professionally so I just look female. I pass better in a sort of scruffy hipster youth style, which — thankfully — I also like.

Unfortunately a lot of my favourite style photos that I have saved are pictures people posted on other forums. I'm not sure they'd be happy with me reposting them here. Also, I had a LOT more pics than these, but I burnt them to a disk which then got damaged... FML.

Nice! I like all that stuff you posted too. I think that more vintage stuff is totally classy.
