Hiii, Actually I am with Kaiser Permanente (SoCal) and it is pretty awesome at the moment. At first I was with a psychiatrist near my city then she recommended I see someone else who was more experienced, so I had no where to turn so the first thing I did was look at any options I had available and sure it enough it was kaiser. I am not sure how it is in other states, but I checked many sites and from where I lived there were a few known therapists/psychiatrists near my city so I called up to set up an appointment, at first they sent me to a "in-taker" or something like that, she basically wrote down information and asked me several questions about myself, family, etc.. and eventually we got to the topic about my gdi. Soon after she told me she would then transfer me to therapist after an hour of talking and I gave her the names of the ones I read online and she set me up with them. The therapist I am with is so awesome, like she is caring and understands a great amount of what I have been going through since she had previous experience with other people with the same issues. We talked for about an hour and I told her my goals about transitioning and she told me everything that was covered and even said she could recommend me to some endocrinologists from Kaiser which cool. Oh yeah HRT is covered through Kaiser, but I don't remember anything else being covered.
Anyways I hope this helps or answers your question, sometimes I get carried away. Co-pay is about $15 and I will be seeing my therapist again next wednesday, so I will try to let you know what else is new.
