I have another account on here, I'm just a little embarrassed about this question seeing as I know someone on this forum irl... So I'm just going to post this anonymously 

I think I have a yest infection. I've had one before in girl-mode and just went to the store to buy that huge pink box of Canestan, which even presenting as female is horrendously embarrassing to do.

So ... guys, what the hell do I do??

Do I go in pretending I'm completely whipped and buying it for my pretend girlfriend or what?? Is there anything else I can use that isn't as obvious to everyone I pass in the store?

I'm sorry for asking this on here because it is kind of awkward and uncomfortable but it's kind of difficult to deal with such a feminine problem as a transguy. Buying tampons pre-T is easier to say it's not for you, but what the hell kind of guy buys Canestan for his girl?

Walgreens. Midnight. Say it's for your girlfriend if they look at you funny.

The clerk in the store could care less that you are a guy buying a feminine product.  Just put your money down and say nothing.  Anything you say will just make it more embarrassing.  I do that when I buy tampons.

If you go to a drug store I would assume they would know better to ask questions. You could always order of Amazon. Order soon enough and you could probably have it tomorrow.

I wouldn't worry about it too much.   Cashiers in most drug stores probably see people buying stuff that that so often that they don't think anything of it.  I've found that when i have to buy tampons (grrr....)  buying something like mens deoderant, or a drink, or really anything thats not strictly feminine makes it a little easier, Kind of distracts from that other thing you have on the counter also.

I sincerely doubt that anyone will care, but you could order online if you're worried about it.

As a guy who works in a grocery store, I can honestly tell you that I don't look twice when I see a guy buying 'feminine hygiene' products as I assume it's for his girlfriend/sister/daughter/whatever. My cousin (a cisman) had to use Canesten when he had oral thrush (a result of not rinsing after using Advair) and my neice has to use it for ringworm. If your cashier even notices what you're buying (which, in all likelihood, they probably won't), I doubt they're going to question what you're getting.

Echoing what others have said, I don't think the sales clerk will even notice. Oh, and I had a yeast infection a little while ago as well. I hear they are not uncommon when you first start hormonal therapy.

Just act like you would if you were buying it for someone else.  Because if you really were buying it for someone else, you wouldn't need to be embarrassed.  The clerk won't care.  So just be confident.  They will probably assume it's for someone else.

Another option could be buying it online.  Walgreens and other such places can just ship it to you.  It could take a few days, though.

Also, a lot of Walmarts have the self checkout lines, so you don't even have to deal with a cashier
