Just got home from attending a good friends wedding.  Now that gay marriage is legal, she was able to wed her partner of 6 years.  I was fearful of attending, just knowing there would be people there that knew me pre-transition.  Anyway, these people did'nt even recognize me until I introduced myself.  Yea, I felt comfortable doing that because the theme of the wedding was diversity.
I have lived in this area for 15 years and transitioned here.  I have always been fearful of running into people that knew me before transition and how to handle it.  Knowing that I am now, unrecognizable from how I used to look....is awesome!  Makes my day.
