Hi.  I'm in Indiana so I don't have a lot of options when it comes to endos (if you know of any, please PM me!)

After other doctors were telling me Spiro was dehydrating me and making me dizzy, I decided to ask my endo if there were other alternatives and she said she didn''t know of any but I know there are!  Maybe she doesn't have experience with them or something?

I'm staying o the premarin but I'm off the Spiro for now.  What should I do?

Of course i cant tell you what to do, but here in europe spiro is rarely used.  Androcur ( ciproterone acetate)is more common.

I been taking Spiro and Andro and decided to go back to Spiro.
1 - 2 tabs a day is NOT going to dehydrate you and or making you dizzy.

Andro is about 4 time stronger and 4 times more laden with side effects then Spiro!
Hence it's not FDA approved, though it's apparently great for prostate cancer.
I had BPH and SPIRO fixed that just fine, thank you.

There is even more 'wonky' AA stuff out there but ALL is more prone to side effects.
Easy enough to checked it out on the web. Not for me, thank you.

Some odd TS' have too little AA action with Spiro, otherwise it one of the most widely used AAs - because it WORKS just fine for most.

Also before blaming Spiro, some on PROZAC seem unaware that it also hogs E-receptors and may greatly diminish E action. So one needs to see the broad picture.

But all is based on personal findings and YMMV.
