I gets pretty annoyed when people call me, "Sweety, cuteiiii, cute", and so on.
its okay once in a while but if someone say,
"hey sweety, you look cute," "so sweety how are you today, you look so cute"
then I feel like answering with "DONT CALL ME CUTE OR I WILL KILL YOUR!!!" XO

what do people call you
who really makes you annoying at times?

I'm starting to get really rattled by shopkeepers calling me "sir" - but it doesn't annoy me, just jangles me because I'm so into feeling female now (and at the same time, really don't look it yet).

"mate".  I am dressed feminine but shop assistants have started saying it to women here now. It is possibly a generational thing but I hate it!

Cute.  Most of my pre-coming out attempts at looking more masculine were met with 'wow your haircut is so cute.'  >:(

What a stupid word.

If I was ever attractive, which I am not vain enough to judge, it was never in a girly way because I don't have girly features and have not presented female since I was six.  Saying I am an attractive female, especially since the implication is usually that boys will like you... cute... is just creepy and makes me feel exposed.  Way to make me feel like ->-bleeped-<-.

(I will make an exception, however, which is passing and being called cute, which happened to me a few days ago.  She said, 'are you like thirteen or something?'  I said no and she giggled and said 'you're cute.'   ::)   Still, there are far better compliments.)

yeah I dont mind the word cute either, in some situations, but since I look very young for a guy people tend to call em cute alot.

Cute, cutie, sweetie, sassy, girl...

Gah, there's this one shoplady who is friends with my mother. She never calls me by any name at all, she just says girl. As in, "Hey, girl!" But it's not just a greeting. She says it constantly, and says goodbye by blowing kisses.

I never styled my hair during the past 5 years, so it was always just kinda short/shaggy and masculine. But whenever I went in for a haircut, the lady my mom always forced me to go to would ignore anything that I said and cut it in a weird, short, girlie style. She would refer to me as "sweetie" the whole time and whenever she was done she would inform me that my hair was cute now. If I had to go out in public before I could wash the hairspray out and comb my hair back to its usual look, people who thought of me as female would tell me that my haircut was "sassy."
I hate the word sassy, not just because it sounds as feminine as it is, but also because for several years I rode a horse (a mare, specifically)named... Sassy. Ans Sassy the horse was the bitchiest horse ever. So any time someone said my hair looked sassy, in my head it seemed like they were saying it was feminine and related to a bitchy horse.

I used to feel weird about pet names when I was younger.
Then my perspective on the hole thing changed over a few years
I realized regarless of how I presented, these people don't know me
at all. It would even happen with complete strangers.
So now I tend to think it's not about me and that it's about them, it kinda
speaks volumes about people's personalities.
Seems like the more open, needy types use pet names more.
There's the occasional, I don't know your name, hey girl/man/sweetie.
But its used alot less frequently in those cases.
It bugs me the most now when you know by the tone in their voice,
it's a dig/Snyde remark.

"ma'am" what a despicable, terrible, no good word, Its used for old ladies! I got called ma'am at work a few times by young children, and it was super annoying..so i cut my hair lol

Even if I was a woman, I wouldn't want to be called ma'am, not in my twenties!

I don't mind, cute, sweetie, honey.. maybe cause I am from the south and its common for young men to get called those things too

Not much sweetie or mate down here on the mean streets of South London. More like: "ya alright blud", innit!

I get "lass". Seriously? The first few times I ever heard that word was in relation to a female horse. I cringe every time.

Also, never call me "sweetie". I ain't your sweetie, random stranger. It's worse when they move in to touch you on the arm or leg. I got spanked on the butt by a woman the other day. That's a friendly greeting? I tried to run away but it was a professional meeting.

Always hated the femaley words, of course. But the worst was when people would add Miss in front of my old name and use the two together as one.

The last person to do this introduced me to her husband that way, so that's what he called me. Soon after, I reached my own personal bottom with GID and started making corrections. Next time he saw me, not only did he not say Miss, he called me Dude instead of the old name. Was a nice bonus.
