I am drinking mineral water from Ballater in Royal Deeside here in bonnie Scotland.   I bought 3 litres of mineral water for £1.00($2.00) and this water that I am drinking right now cost me only £0.72 for 2 litres.    People here are still huge tap water drinkers so that is why mineral water is rather cheap.   Paul Chek recommends that you drink half you body weight in pounds in fluid ounces each day.   

I drink lots of water, tap at home, bottled at work.  I do use a Britta at home.

I go through a couple of pint bottles of water during the day mainly because the office manager buys bottled water...often with another 20 oz of Gatorade or equivalent when I go to the gym in the evening. 

Otherwise, I can be quite content with tap water and ice cubes...

I like mineral water, but cold tap water is also  fine. I'm getting addicted to lemon, lime and bitters made in cold mineral water, Mmm. but I also love tea. I drink a cup of tea about every two hours during the day.

I don't always drink enough because I don't "feel thirsty" until I'm quite dehydrated, so I have to make myself drink when I don't feel like it. Filtered water does it for me, never been a hot drink drinker except when I'm very cold, and I can't stand bubbly drinks. Tea and coffee dehydrate you, by the way, because they make you pee .

I drink tap water with fruit syrup most time (or hot water at shower  )
I don't force me to drink "recommended" amount, I just listen to body and drink when I'm thirsty or have dry mouth 

The past week I've been in North Texas where the temperatures have averaged 105F during the day, and up to 102F until Midnight, humidity 25 - 40 %, fee.  Can't drink enough when outside, even Phoenix wasn't this bad, feels like a blast furnace outside!

Averaging 1L for every 30min outside.

I also have a Britta Water Pitcher!

How do men wearing suits and black shoes cope in Summer in Texas?   Texan women will have ways of dressing cool yet still quasi-formal.  Men only have suits.   The one time I wore a suit - for my graduation - it felt like a suit of armour.   That suit triggered my gender issues but as I wasn't out at all at the university, and my mother would have had three fits if I had wanted to wear a dress.    I wore that suit with as much good grace as I  could manage.   

Texas sounds as hot as the Australian Outback where they say that you have about 3 hours to live without water.   I have heard that Arizona is hot but it has a dry heat which is why that state appeals to retired people.   I have only been to Florida(central Florida) and I really liked the lushness of the place, especially the tall palm trees.

P.S. We had a couple of nights of thunderstorms.  I used to lie in my bed and  see the whole room light up in a vivid purple and hear the rain bouncing off the ground.   I love thunderstorms I always find them very relaxing and they put me into a sort of meditative trance.   I used to be awaken around 05:00am each day by the amount of people driving off to work at that time, no wonder their houses were often in pitch darkness when he got back at around 21.00hrs each night.   You can't be up late if you have to leave for work at 05:00am every day.

Our tap water is Ice Cold, and I love it.
Bottled water, regardless of what it's named, is "usually" tap water.
Check your bottles for the fine print.

Want some flavour in your water? A slice of lemon does the trick.

Seriously, bottled water is usually the easiest way of wasting money.

The leading bottled waters in the US (made by Coke and Pepsi) are filtered tap water, but anything labeled spring water, like Ozark or Poland Springs, or Calistoga are from springs, truth in advertising laws insist on it.

  I have to!  The spiro is causing me to sweat a lot more in this record heat we're having here than I did before.  And of course, the 3-5 times a night leakfest.  Tap water or the decaf iced tea is what I usually drink.  I found no difference between the Dr Pepper and water under these conditions!

Appropriate business attire for men in Texas (San Antonio, at least) also includes cowboy boots and cowboy hats.  The hats provide some shelter from the sun, which helps. 

But mostly, people don't go outdoors much when it's really hot.  They just go from air-conditioned building to air-conditioned car to air-conditioned building. 

It's the same way people cope with extreme cold, just the opposite temperature.
