"I've been transitioning since I was sixteen," she told "Nightline" anchor Cynthia McFadden. "I don't want to go back to that awkward little boy that was shy, and hid away from everybody."

With surgery brings the promise of metamorphosis; the 19-year-old is getting a new nose, new jaw line and breast implants.

"The surgery is going to make me, I feel, blossom from a caterpillar to a butterfly," she said.

Holy crap, how much would the cost in Mexico be compared to the cost in Thailand?

It isn't my place to comment, but that figure of $6500 dollars seems extraordinary low. I suspect there is a lot more involved.

It seems to me, at least, that when it comes to things like surgery, you get what you pay for. Thailand may be a little more, but they have proven experteese and more experience than anyone.

I think most will agree what we want Trisha and all others here, not in body bags.

The story however is very heart warming.

I was kinda suspecting that too actually.
