I am one week out from surgery and am loving the results. I went to a plastic surgeon
http://www.gaplasticsurg.com/ recommended by my doc, who besides being my regular doc is also experienced dealing with transpeople and is my HRT prescriber etc. The plastic surgeon isn't known for FFS but my reg doc said he has done several of his patients with good results. Initially he was wanting to work on my eyes, my nose, my lips and my chin (plus maybe neck and brows etc etc) but due to financial constraints, some consulting with my reg doc, my friends etc plus not wanting to make a DRASTIC change (and have my whole face in pain or add any more risks to this), decided to just feminize my nose.
I was on the table 2 hours just doing this and felt like crap until yesterday and still kinda weak/light headed but that is quickly going away. I'm feeling good enough to get out to the store, walk around the block and plan to be back to my old self in another week. Obviously only being one week out there is still some swelling, mostly around the tip of my nose but I already see a big difference in my appearance. I was pretty sure my "guy nose" was my worst feature and seeing the results, I'm really glad I did this and didn't do anything else. Total cost was $5K including all hospital fees, anesthesia, + surgeon including all pre and post op appointments. Here is a before/left shot and after/right shot. I promised I would post the results. I'm sure over time it will thin out as the swelling goes down and look even better.
