Depsite being an andro I'm not particularly attracted to the look of androgyny. I seem to gravitate to more feminine things like round hipped girls or emo guys who look like girls.

I seem to attract macho men and butch lesbians.

I've met very few andros who are attracted to other androgynes. Is this some kind of phenomena or just my limited experience?

I've also found what I desire physically I may not so much emotionally. In fact, I often find myself frustrated in relationships w/ femme types because they typically lust my masculinity to the aversion of my subtle feminine wiles.

What are your experiences like?

Husband is a gay male who in his youth was a fem boi but is not actually transgender. So he just likes guys and for some reason really really likes me.
At first it was hard for me to believe but now I do.

I try to keep the whole gender thing at a minimum. It's personality all the way, but really fem catches my eye more than any thing else.

Physically I find am very attracted to a kind of scruffy but feminine kind of girl, usually red headed and sharply intelligent to the point of cruel. Very specific, I know. I am also attracted to lots of other people, but for pure, straight-away, wow factor - that's what I go for.

In terms of personality I like someone more intelligent then me, with a harder edge, probably more masculine who can challenge me but also enfold around me. I tend to have the more feminine role in relationships with housemates and stuff partly cos I am a great cook, and I like things to be pretty. I imagine I'd have that role in a relationship also.

I tend to attract vulnerable girls, usually with absent fathers, often on anxiety/depression medication who see me as stable, yet interesting and laugh a little too loud at my jokes. Again very specific, but I can't think of someone attracted to me who did not fit this criteria.

Attracted to strong assertive women, generally but not always Gay ones and that's usually who I've generally ended up with for better or worse. Find trans people attractive too, both mtf and ftm but have difficulty with men although Johnny Depp begged me I would! As the previous poster stated it can be hard to reconcile physical and emotional attraction. Olive skin or darker, dark almond eyes and dark hair do it for me. More the Michelle Yeoh that the Zhang Ziyi in Crouching Tiger terms...

I found that butch lesbians, stone butch, and other masculine men are attracted to me.

I haven't dated an andro person. Not saying I wont...I just never had the opportunity to.

Not quite androgyne, but as an honorary member of the forest, I'll bite. I'm attracted to feminine women. Not just in looks but personality as well. By personality, I don't mean interests per se. She could be a mechanic for all I care as long as she's feminine in attitude. I like exotic looking women with curves, preferably brunette. Though I don't know that I'd turn away a really sweet blonde or redhead either.     I'm kind of an ass man. If she doesn't have a good bumper that kind of ruins it for me. And legs. I'm short but I don't mind taller women at all! I'm mostly looking at the bottom half anyway. A nice behind and long legs really does it for me.

As for who's attracted to me - I wouldn't know. All different types of people, it would seem.

Attracted to me:
When I was in the guy role, there were a few types.  The boring, straight-forward one was brainy, intellectual girls.  Then there were lesbians, believe it or not.  It seemed like if I got anywhere near a lesbian woman, she would be flirting with me.  I mean from super butch, truck driving bullies of women to cute little spitfire types and everything in between.  I had a reputation for it with my friends and was teased and teased.  I guess it makes sense in some ways.  I had a pretty face and feminine nature.  I dunno.

As a woman- tall strapping... idiots. Lol.  I don't get it!  I get the tall part, but why do they all need to have rocks in their heads?  Like for instance, there was this guy a year or two ago that seemed totally fine when I talked to him, successful and, I wouldn't say exactly well-spoken, but he could put thoughts together it seemed.  He was flirting, he was attractive, I gave him my email.  Then, for hell's sake, I'm sorry, I'm not the grammar police, I don't need you to be able to diagram sentences for me or even use "whom" correctly, but being able to spell "what" is a prerequisite.  His email was, I dunno, English adjacent?  And that that was where it ended.  Yes, I cut things off with a guy because he couldn't spell or punctuate, so sue me lol.  Then I have this guy now that keeps flirting with me but somehow never remembers that he's already met me several times before.  Come on, how many 6'2" girls do you really run into that you can't remember me?  It just boggles my mind.  He's very sexy though.

I like masculine looking men who arent too tall, i like guys around my height, hell a little shorter is fine too, but I dont like guys way taller then me it makes me feel little and lame.  I like muscular backs and cute butts, brown eyes. clothes that fit them right, not to baggy.

The girl next door type is who i am attracted to. Pony tail, jeans, sneakers - ahh. If shes a ginger all the better. In fact, that's who i married.

As far as who is attracted to me? I have no clue. I'm not exactly fighting off people trying to flirt with me so maybe i'm ugly LOL.... I do seem to attract females that have had their flings and are looking for someone stable, but i'm already spoken for.

I like tall and curvy women. Once in a while, skinny girls but usually not.  Usually not blondes either; dark or red.  There are always exceptions.  Must have brains and creativity and compassion.  The kind of girl who isn't really super femme, but wears folksy skirts and has some pretty features and is cute rather than beautiful.  Butch girls are interesting too, and some girls who look like guys who look like girls.

As far as who I attract, I dunno.  Not a lot, but from surprising quarters.  I've been hit on by older married women, one of whom was trying to get me into bed in order to make her jerk of a drunk loser husband jealous (took me a while to figure it out but I. Ran from that one).  Also by gay guys, and been told by younger girls they had a crush on me.  I had some admirers at the festival last weekend; amazing what a brightly colored costume or a blacksmith's apron and a sheen of sweat and lots of yelling does for some people.  Some girls I've been attracted to in the past just wanted to be friends because I didn't seem to them like a typical guy... in fact one of my best friends thought I was gay until I admitted i'd had a crush on her, and told a gay friend of hers, who proceeded to hit on me... sheesh.

Intelligence is the #1 thing I'm attracted to.

I'm also very attracted to women who have stereotypically male interests. I think the ideal would be someone who is feminine toward me and masculine toward everyone else.

Hmmmmmmmm.  Interesting.

In women and in men, I am more attracted to those who are self-confident.  Body style really does not matter.  It is more a matter of knowing their own mind and having the confidence to be their very best.

As to what I attract, it seems that I attract those people who I find attractive.  People are attracted to me, because they must sense a self-confidence in me.  I don't see it but they do.
