Best Value for FFS

If money were not a concern would you use Dr. O to work on your face?  Dr. O studied female cranium dimensions and tailored surgeries to those specifications.

Now Thailand has procedures that seem to be ahead of U.S.   An example is that Thai surgeons advance scalp more than U.S. surgeons and "cut off" peak of hair and use it to fill in scar from scalp advance.  This eliminates need to do second surgery and pull hair from back of scalp to cover scar from scalp advance..

If cost was a concern which surgeon do you think is best value in world?  Would you use Thailand, Brazil, Mexico, or U.S.?  Why?

I really recommend to everyone to not pick a surgeon based on price.

Picking a surgeon should be based on their skill set to match your surgery needs.

If I needed extensive bone work, I would use Dr O in a heart beat.  Since I didn't, I was looking for a conservative surgeon to match my goals.  I choose Dr Spiegel, which I'm so happy I did.  Everything went extremely well and I'm so happy with the results.

Every surgeon has there Pro's & Con's.  Every surgeon can have a bad day.

Jamie,

You look very pretty.

Dr. O wants about $50K for my face.  That does not include hair transplants.  I know an older and younger person that used him and they look nice.   He said he could do good job on my face.

Unfortunately I have seen some bad work from other surgeons and I do not know their names.  Lips too big, brows too high, philtrums too small, voice surgeries pitched too high, etc.  A good surgeon blends features and feminizes face.  Best work is work done for that face instead of Hollywood star face.

I was hoping people know excellent facial surgeons in Thailand, Mexico, Canada, or somewhere else.  I like way Thai surgeons advance scalp more than American surgeons and then use hair in front for covering scar in front hairline.  That makes sense to me.

Actually I am overwhelmed with combinations.

From seeing some of his work - Dr Supron in Thailand would be my next recommendation.

$50K for Dr O - sounds about normal.

Good Luck,

Dr. DiMaggio does good work from what I have seen.  He is in Argentina and several months ago was charging about half what Dr. O does for similar results.  However I think his demand, and thus prices, are going up now.

In my case, money really wasn't an issue and my forehead is what I needed done right so I went with Dr. O.  My surgery and lodging cost right around $40k.

These are my results at 2.5 months post op, if you're interested.

Wow what procedures did you get on your forehead that cost $40k? I know you said money wasn't an issue for you but that seems kinda high.

Well, it wasn't the forehead that cost that much, it was everything together.  I just needed the forehead done right, and Dr. O is the best for foreheads so...

I had forehead without scalp advance, nose, chin, jaw, and trach done.

The procedures included: Forehead/hairline adjustment, brow bossing, brow lift, nose job, lip augmentation, cheek implant, jawline smoothing, left ear otoplasty and trachea shave - $38K + $2K for flights, meals and hotel.

I have posted video's of my experience:

You look very pretty.  I can use most of those procedures including some hair transplants.  Do not need trachea shave but will consider voice box lift.

Love your video channel.  Hey Dr. O did great job on video you saved.

Actually wrote Supporn and do not even get reply.  Guess I need referral before he talks to me.

Also wrote Chettawut and got an "auto" reply back.  Guess he has become too popular too.

I am on like information overload.

By way Dr. O does take his time to talk to me.  I do like his work.

BTW, these surgeons get 100's of emails each day.

It's difficult to weed out the potential patients vs. the tire kickers.

A phone call shows you are really interested!!!

Amy I have a type 2 male skull.  My forehead slants back.  Some airplane bondo in right spots would be very good.  I think Supporn uses a titanium plate.  I guess I would set off airport metal detectors.  Would prefer lightweight bondo over metal plate.  Not sure if Chettawut works on forehead.  Most surgeons do scalp advance but few work on forehead.  Also need work on jaw and chin.

Local surgeon can do nice job with computer imaging on center of face for $30K.  Computer image was that of a "pretty" male as opposed to a female.  Local surgeon does great job with nose.

You are correct.  I do like to know price and procedures.  I also wanted to shop surgeons.  I do like way Thailand sticks you on a conveyor belt and removes male features along way.

Good input.

Titanium is not magnetic, so no issues with airports!  Yep, I have a titanium plate holding all my brains in  :P

No way!  I did not know titanium did not set off scanners at airport.  If you have a Dr. O type 2  head then your skull slants backwards.  Titanium plate is screwed into your skull and your brain is protected by bone and a metal plate.

I was worried that if you push your skull then it will move in like side of car fender and then spring out.

I look Swedish and younger version of Dr. O.   I thought he would retire before I could visit him.

Jamie you look really good from Spiegel.   Did you lose weight or were you thin to start?  Dr. O wanted me to get to 140.  No way.  I got down to 165 and then was so happy that I ate my way back to 180 at 5'10".

Other surgeons always tease that Dr. O will fall asleep at operating table.  :)

Nope, the plate is only there to make sure nothing bad happens to the placement of the bone while it heals and re-fuses together.  After a few months, the bone will have fused and should be strong with or without the plate.  Technically, you could have it removed at a later point if you wanted to badly enough (and were willing to have your forehead re-opened).  I was a type 3 procedure I think, so I only have micro wires in the forehead - but I do have a plate on the chin apparently.

He said it would be nice if I lost down to 165 prior to surgery, but I was a healthy weight to begin with and he didn't make it a big deal.  Before the surgery I weighed about 173 (I'm 6'1"), and now I weigh on average 165.  I was around 161 right after the surgery and have slowly gained some back from resuming more normal habits.

Wow, bionic girls! I feel so marginal with only a couple of screws in my head. Brow ridge reduction, minor hairline adjustment, nose job and tracheal shave with Dr. Spiegel last month. Picked him mostly cause of his reputation for being conservative and not selling you stuff you don't need (aside from just generally being a good surgeon). More than happy with the results - except for the pain. I seem to be healing rather rapidly and most of my numb spots are gone already. Unfortunately, those spots HURT. Weird that I have more pain 3 weeks post-op than I did 1 week post-op.

I am on the other side with weight - and was damn scared I'd lose too much post-surgery. 5lbs down the drain in the end and my cheeks were just starting to fill out after months of work. I'm 6'1" and 133. Which always gets cries of envy until you realize how gross it actually looks. I need to reach at least 145 to be healthy.

Hope you can gain what you want soon enough! *hugs*  I remember those days myself, back when I used to be 100 pounds at 5'11".  Every inch of my body looked sick, like my upper arms being only 2" in diameter.  It may take time to gain something back, but it's worth it. :)  And I know you'll do it too!

Thanks, Zoe. For me the worst part is seeing my ribs through my skin, and the line between my jaw and cheekbone looking like it was drawn with a ruler. But this thread is actually about FFS. So, shoo! No place for girls who are too hot already to get facial surgery. :P
