Hi, everyone!  It's been a while for me since I was on Susan's.  :(

I was looking for some info on vaginal health.  I'm 9 months post-op now.  My Thai doctor performed what he calls non-skin inversion with skin graft.  In order to achieve 5.5 inches of depth, he had to harvest some skin from the groin area.  :embarrassed:

I think I am healing well.  My only concern at this point is some kind of discharge from the vagina.  It's not nasty smelling, but since it comes from the inside, it does have a smell.  I suspect it's from the skin inside, some kind of sloughing but a bit moist.

I tried not to douche for a a few days (I usually use diluted lactacyd).  But there is this concern now.  There isn't really any kind of funny discharge when I dilate.

Just wondering if this happens to the other ladies and if there are any home remedies, perhaps?  Or should I just wait a few more months for it to stop?

Thank you!

Well. I can honestly say I've seen it all now. Lol

I've never tasted down there and I've always found the thought off-putting too. But vaginal health is an important aspect to feminine hygiene. I hope  everything is okay for you. This is a pretty eye-opening thread for me to be honest.

I'm 6 years post-op and I must say that I like the way that mine smells and tastes.  Yes there are times when I'm not so fresh down there but then that's just part of being a woman.  I all so like the aroma when I've orgasmed, quite unique and tasty.
Enjoy life and be happy.  You won't be back.

I also had the same type of graft.  At nine months postop I would think the sloughing would have finished.  Probably worth a visit to the doctor just to make sure everything is okay.  Better to be safe than sorry.

Hi, Dinky_Di!  Thanks for the advice.

Who was your doctor, may I ask?

This is probably a long shot (or just totally wrong,) but I do know that when I had been estrogen for awhile the odor of my body noticeably changed.  I can't explain it but I smelled "sweeter."  I also know that the estrogen dosage is decreased after SRS since your body is now producing minimal testosterone.  Maybe too low on estrogen?  Again, just thinking out loud...

Nine months post op... i think you need to see an ob/gyn, might be either a bacterial infection, or yeast infection.  Could be harmless though some lubes change color and become solid like in there like replens for some women, either way after 9 months even with a graft its not really normal.
