Uploading to a computer wouldn't work. If make a copy of your consciousness that exists at the same time as your current consciousness it is not you, even if it thinks it is. In order to have it so it would be you you need to move your conscious not copy it. I think this means the only way of doing something like that would be a physical brain transplant. This would have to involve cutting the spinal cord/brain stem below the brain, though this theoretically I think would work (as in transporting you) I believe that at our current level of medical technology a broken spinal cord means permanent and irreversible paralysis. Though I believe stem cells are one of the things believed to potentially be a cure for that kind of injury...
Obviously there is a lot of conjecture in this post! I am not a doctor or scientist or anything. The only thing I am qualified to claim as pretty damn sure is the first sentence.
