Hey again guys! Just thought I'd resurect this topic to keep the good times rolling! So my week has been a little bumpy, with a MASSIVE dip in the middle. A couple of days ago the red death hit again, just when I thought I was rid of it forever, and has left me in the worst mood possible.
But my winning streak, not to be cowed, countered with what appears to be a true breakthrough between myself and the guy at work! I now feel confident in saying that he and I are definitely friends!

On his last late night shift I went in to keep him company, and guys being guys we slowly but surely sunk further and further into 'guy talk', all manner of evil sexual things being discussed.

And at the end of the night he kinda ended up like O.o, and just suddenly said to me 'God, I've never talked about any of this with anyone!' and we had a good grin and a laugh and I felt AWESOME!

Then after that he informed me that I got his weekend shifts at work because he was going to a 40K competition, and after we talked about it a bit, he said that if I went in to hang out with him at work before his shift started, that he'd show me all of the models and stuff. So we ate dinner together and talked about the weekend and it was all done outside of work!
I want to stop, because this post is so long, but there's still more!
So then after his weekend it turned out that he'd won the prize for 'best sport' because everyone had voted him the nicest guy at the competition. And out of nowhere he said he had a lecture at uni, and that he would come by while I was working once it was over. That was the first time it was
him going out of his way to catch up with me, which just felt super awesome. Then when my shift finished we went and spent his gift voicher (on more models

) and had something to eat.
My store's manager has recently been moved to another store in the same city, and she's been going on about how she's going to have my transferred because everyone there is absolutely useless. It was while I was filling in for someone at this other store that this guy came in and hung out with me, and he suddenly said to the manager 'If you take Max, you have to take me too, it's both or neither, okay?' then he looked at me and went 'That's the deal, alright?' all serious like, and it was clear he wasn't kidding. It felt so awesome to have him say that! Despite my brash nature, I really don't have much self confidence in things like this, so that was the first time I really felt like I could be sure he actually wanted to spend time with me.
We're both working tomorrow, but my shift finishes a couple of hours before his starts, and I was talking to him on facebook and said 'My parents are away this weekend so I'll be bored, do you mind if I wait until you get here for your shift, and hang with you?' in reply he said that would be awesome, but not to worry because he finished at uni half an hour before my shift ended, so he'd get to work at the time I clocked off, then we could chill together until his shift, rather than me spend the time wandering around alone.
Okay okay, I promise I'm almost done!
The last time we hung out we got into talking about meat pies and how to eat them (long story) and then in the end made the awesome discovery that we both eat meat pies in the same ridiculous way (cut the top off, smear sauce on the lid, eat it, pour sauce into the meat and stir it around, eat the meat, then finally eat the base pastry) and grinned at each other, because everyone else had always told each of us that we were crazy. Then we were going up an escalator and I looked at him and noticed we were both standing leaning against the one rail, with one foot crossed at the ankle in front of the other (like an L) and we laughed about that to, going 'No way! We even have the same stance!'
So then after all of this, I was talking to him again on facebook, and I made a comment about the meaning of our names (names are important to me), and I said to him 'Did you know your last name can mean 'death'.' My last name can also mean death, so then I said 'lol, same as mine!' And in possibly the most amazing moment of my life, he said 'Awesome, death brothers!'
It was the most awesome feeling ever in the world, and so I'm now feeling pretty damn amazing, even with the red death.
