I am at a place now that 95% of the people in my life accept my transitioning.  I am also on the verge of re-starting my career...making some bucks.  And, not sure if it is my Native background or what, but i find myself wanting none of it.  I find myself longing to live in nature .....the seeds I sow in the spring, are my fruits in the fall and winter.  I find myself wanting to be free of cable TV, internet, telephones, and become Grizzley Adams.  For myself, the only peace i have ever found is within nature.  I also know that, in today's world, living that way is close to impossible.  Guess I was just born to late.  Guess I'm just writing this to get it off my chest.

More people feel the way you do than you think. Many people are geting off the readmill that is called modern life. Homesteading is one option. I'm investigating the possibility of doing this myself.
Be who you are.
Make a difference by being a difference.   :)

Ya know as a kid I met this amish family and they were incredible people.  I could not get over how they could manage that, guess I'm just too spoiled with technology but the point of that was after meeting them I realized it wasn't impossible.

If that is what you want then go for it. If your career is going to make you a good bit of cash then why not work and save for a few years to be able to afford a home or afford to build your own and get yourself set up. Then give living that way a shot but keep any savings you can in case later on you decide that doesn't work for you.

Personally I'm still annoyed that I wasn't born a cowboy or a Native American in the olden days so I could spend my days on horseback  :D
