Kia Ora,

::) Things don't always go to plan...Or at times life can throw a whole heap of crap at you...Life at times can become quite challenging  :icon_yikes: [especially for trans-people]... :icon_yes:

::) A few questions to ponder....

So when things go wrong, who or what's to blame ?

Some believe it's a god's intervention = reward  or punishment  >:-)

Some believe it's the work of the devil  >:-)  :icon_twisted:

Some[like myself] believe in a version of the universal law of cause and effect-it's just their karma :icon_yes:

Others believe in the randomness ->-bleeped-<- just happens theory  :icon_raving: :icon_drunk:

Or perhaps  Voodoo or Black magic  :icon_twisted:

When unwholesome things happen to you what can/do you do to alleviate the situation ?

So in general

Do you have a good moan & cry then  pray to god for forgiveness, ask hir/it for help?  :eusa_pray:

Or just accept that it's happened and make the best of the situation by going with the flow, knowing "nothing is permanent" not even the situation you find yourself in ?  :icon_headfones:

Or rant and rave for a while then after you calm down start planning what you could do better if something similar were to happen ?  :icon_punch: :icon_raving:

Or something else ?

Is your answer truly what you would do ? Or what you would like to do in a given situation ?

For example if you are finding yourself in a challenging situation right "now" how are you dealing with it ?

Remember folks...Each and every one of us experiences life from our personal perspectives-we each have our own truths- so to speak...

Things going wrong is just a part of life. There will always be another battle to fight. The important thing is to face each fight with honor. I don't believe so much in karma as in wyrd (a term from native Euro tradition). The best definition I have heard for it is the things that are likely to happen to a person based on their past actions. I think it is really a combination of probability and psychology that the ancients of the North explained in more spiritual ways because they didn't know much about mathematics and psychology back then. If a person makes many bad decisions, tends to be rude to people, tends to drive recklessly, etc then they contribute to a pattern of behavior that makes it increasingly likely that something bad will happen to them in return. Likewise if you do good things. It is not a guarantee either way, just a likelihood.

So I suppose sometimes when things go wrong it's your own fault, other times you just drew the short straw. And yeah, sometimes it could be deliberate malice too, like if you're the victim of a crime or discrimination. Like I said, there is always a battle to fight, and it's not always a fair fight either. I know that the Gods are always with me to provide peace and inner strength, even with enemies on every side, and that I will have a home with Them when it is all over. That is how I deal with it. The hostiles out there may be able to take every physical thing from me, but they can never take away my honor, unless I let them. Which of course I won't.

There's two sayings that I'm gonna bring up.
1. It can't rain all the time.
2. If every day was a sunny day then what the heck is a sunny day?

Things can not always go our way, nor can they always go wrong.
Change is a natural element of existence and causality is too complex for us to accurately predict it at all times.

Sometimes, we are the cause.
Sometimes, the causes are external.
Usually it's an interplay of a thousand tiny little things.

That doesn't mean "chaos" by the by, as causality "is" a form of order.

Indeed. I have found that life itself is a chaotic system. Chaos is actually not randomness and disorder, but completely deterministic, depending entirely on the initial conditions, plus any later influences from external sources. That is basically a mathematical restatement of the phrase "everything happens for a reason". Unfortunately life has far too many variables for even the best computer to track, so we may not always be able to see all of the reasons for a specific event, but that doesn't mean that said reasons do not exist. It also doesn't mean that they are always good reasons. Sometimes bad things happen for dumb reasons. It's just part of life.

They say that s**t rolls down hill.  But why can I not get passed the bottom of the hill.   I am getting really tired of others getting breaks and no matter how hard I struggle: I still can not catch a break.

Other:

I must accept full responsibility for the things that 'go wrong' in my life. I have noone else to blame but me. I would much rather count all the small blessings I am given than spend one minute contemplating those things I cannot change that only upset me.

I realize that this is easier said than done but transitioning is never easy no matter how we go about it. Hang in there Janet-our road might be a long slow road but we are still trying to get to the goal. The ability to do that is in itself something to cherish.

Other....could be any of the reasons listed, depending on what happened.

If I jump off the roof and break a leg, I better not blame karma or my Creator.
But it could be voodoo

Things go wrong because we have expectations of things to go a certian way. Events happen they way they do only we judge them to be good or bad.

Pretty sure it's gravity who broke your leg if you do that.... and the laws of physics.

when things go wrong it's usually because you haven't made sure there's no way it could go wrong. and if it goes right, that's because the conditions for it to go wrong weren't present at the time necessary for it to go wrong. so you can still be lucky even if the chances are high that something will go wrong

i will only blame voodoo or other types of magic if things start happening that don't have any physical explanation. if you get into a situation where everyone who visits you sees your dead grandma sitting by the kitchen table, then that may be because of a curse someone put on you

lol, yeah, that's the easy way out. but make sure you blame a person, it's not like you can punish karma or gods for making mistakes that screw up your plans..

When things go wrong, be patient and try not to be sad. Not easy, but it's the best advice I know.
