Nevermind.
...I think for most of us it is a futile effort to try and put this genie back in the bottle once she has tasted freedom...

I like flats.  I generally have no interest in the trappings of stereotypical femininity, and as such much of my clothing is androgynous, but I wear flats almost every day.

Mossimo has some nice stuff which is also extremely affordable.

You can't go to far wrong with mid-calf length boots with a low heel.
If it's cold wear them with tights or jeans tucked in, if it's warm bare legs.  As long as you have a brown and black pair, and belts and bags to match, you are pretty much set for anything.
Of course you will decide you really need more than one pair of each, and more than one style, and a pair with a heel would look sexy, and.....

If you don't believe me, look in my wardrobe  ;)

Rain boots!

I love wearing mine with a pair of skinny jeans.

I have been hunting for a brown pair in my size over the last few weeks.
One shoe shop that is a retail outlet for a manufacturer is expecting a lot in around the end of October, when all the other states change to their summer line.  Tasmania apparently sees boot sales all year round, due to the fact that our climate is so changeable, so their shop gets all the excess stock.
(People here die in blizzards in the mountains when the rest of the country is having a heat wave.) 4 seasons in one day!

Wacky hemispherical differences.  I'm looking at a long winter coming up - it's my northernmost full winter in about fifteen years, and it's going to rain until it snows, which will then become rain again after a few months of slush and maybe a little bit sticking around.

Tasmania is right in the path of the "Roaring Forties" so we can cop a wintry blast any time of the year. Hence the demand for boots.  Beats scorching North winds out of the desert in summer though as far as I am concerned.

I like Ballet flats, but when it's raining I would wear boots.

I love open toed shoes because I can see my painted nails & I can drop down a size (size 10's are hard to find in the UK but size 9's are everywhere), this is my favourite pair http://www.shoezone.com/Womens-Flat-Heeled-Casual-Shoes/Black-Strappy-Womens-Shoe-with-Heel-Zip-Fasten/10564

I also love boots but it's harder to find a pair that fit my big feet, this is the pair that are destroying my feet right now bacause they aren't available in size 10 http://www.shoezone.com/Womens-Boots/Wide-Leg-Womens-Boot-in-Black/18120

I love wearing heels, about 3" high because they make my feet look smaller

Yes Beth it is home to them. They actually are quite cute especially the babies, and according to the early settlers taste like venison, not chicken!

I am a size 11, and have found that brands that have European sizings usually go up to a 42 or 43, which fits me.

Is this only for MtF? :P I suggest zappos.com and pickyourshoes.com (only this url, every other site that looks like this one is a chinese scam site). They have sizes going all the way to 16 (10 sizes bigger than mine LOL), sometimes.
I'm ftm and my fav shoes are high-top basketball sneakers, and some skateboarding ones.
Here's two of my sneakers :)
