i happened to be watching bones on netflix today (one of my favorite shows) and when i came across this episode which ive watched about 5 times before it occurred to me to share it with you guys. in episode 7 season 4 there is an MTF in the show and i really liked the episode. i just wanted to share my knowledge of a good representation of a trans character in popular media. the episode was mostly about how people reacted to patrick/patricia transitioning to try to find out who killed her. very good episode.

There is an excellent episode of Law & Order SVU [I believe it's called Transitions] about a little transgirl. Her father left the family out of embarrassment, and refused to let her take hormone blockers to pre-empt male puberty. It's a complicated episode, involving hormone theft, and her father being assaulted by a sympathetic school counselor [a transwoman who grew up in a time where there was virtually no support for the trans community]. It ends with the father accepting his father, and dropping the charges against the school counselor. There are some minor FTM characters, and SVU always does a good job balancing the moral viewpoints of all the different main characters. I really recommend it. It made me cry.

I saw that episode like last year or something and I couldn't remember what show it was.

the episode is called transitions its episode 14 season 10 i just looked it up but now im going to watch it.
