Since I am medically retired and have full use of the VA system and they cover HRT where to start? Do I need an outside T letter or is there a safe way to find a thrapist in their system to help with that? Also can I get all the blood work done with them? I want to get going on this as soon as I can.

I have been using the VA here for my HRT for over a year.   You must first get started on HRT by seeing an endo doc(non VA).  Once you get your initial prescription call the VA to make an appt with the Endo doc in the Womens Clinic.  They will continue you HRT program.  The VA just won't iniatate it.  They are also now getting trained shrinks in CD/TG issues.  The VA will not do any FFS or GRS though.

that's actually incorrect you do not need any outside doc set your appointment with the GP if you haven't got one you can schedule with the walk in clinic until your GP is assigned next walk over to mental health for an intake assessment do this the same day because the wait list for mental health is ridiculous due to ptsd soldiers coming home you will need this for endo to touch you then once you have the appointment tell the clinic your trans don't pussyfoot around it say it straight out or they will think your not serious and will want to wait for the therapist assessment next ask them to schedule an appointment with the endo specialty clinic this was mandated and they have to do it because you self identified as mtf trans pm  me if you want more info my entire care is handled by the VA including all related mammograms and letter for surgery the VA doesn't currently do srs but i have heard this may soon change so here to keeping fingers crossed
