Whats your favorite game 2011 - 2012?

If so, Skyrim. Sometimes you just KNOW a game is going to be that good.

Well if that's how we're doing things, my favorite game is Guild Wars 2. 

Halo: Reach
Nothing says "I love you" better than a sharp knife to the gut.
Halo was awesome but it got even better with Reach because you could finally have a Spartan that was female bodied instead of just cried out with a woman's voice.

Having said that, Next it would be the Soul Calibur games because I've had 4 characters banned from being used against friends and family. I guess they cant take being beaten by a girl.

Lmao I hear you there. My friends have banned me from using Lizardman and Taki against them. Mostly I just mess around with Yoshimitsu now because it's funny.

Honestly I can't think of any games that already came out this year that I really liked...all of the ones I want are coming out around November >_>.

Vegas has been my favorite for single player so far, with Star Wars going to suck what little social life I have right out come december.

World of Warcraft (i play Wrath of the Lich King expansion)
Heroes of Might and Magic 3 and 5 (can't tell anything about 6 yet, just started playing)

I am so looking forward to Skyrim(!); I'm really thinking I might be a female Argonian for the first time. ME3 look amazing too, the new female Shepard is simply stunning.
And of course, as a Final Fantasy junkie who ~loved~ XIII, I'm really excited for XIII-2 (More Lightning)!

If we're talking classics though, then my favorite game would be Grandia II, hands down (Deus Ex would be second).
Millenia is perhaps the coolest video game character of all-time.

I wish I had a PS3 so I could check out the new Final Fantasy. I've played 4 though 10, and 6/7 remain my favorites. I really wish they'd make a FF6 remake.

No, scratch that. I want a Xenogears remake. I'm still a bit obsessed with that game after 12 years.

Yes yes yes 1000000000000 times YES! Xenogears was by far one of the best games I've ever played and is still my favorite game today. I would be especially happy if they could remake the second disc. As I recall they had funds taken away from it because of FF8, so it was very lackluster in comparison to the first.

Skyrim and Portal 2 as far as releases for this year go.

Overall though, I've been playing so much League of Legends lately ...

How can you expect us to limit ourselves to just one game with so many great games being released already this year?

The only way that I can answer this question is to break this into categories like an awards ceremony.

Best flying game: Ace Combat Assault Horizon

Best open world game: L.A. Noire

Best arcade game: From Dust

Best online game: Battlefield 3

Best action/adventure game: Shadow of the Colossus

Best game ever: Shadow of the Colossus

I've got a huge list of games to get & catch up on from this year like Dead Island, Batman & Uncharted 3 to name a few plus upcoming games like COD & Saints Row 3 so these choices will be constantly changing

Hi, what i would say about favorite game, I like a challenge so Demon soul's is my fav ps3 game. This game has a online option where you can request help from other players, invade others world and slaughter them or duel other players.

I was first attracted to this game because of its graphics. The CG is stunning. Then the game reviews were awesome, the only thing was how people complained how hard it was. Well sure enough the game was hella hard lol. You die in 2-3 hits and one hit from bosses usually. This didn't bother me at all, as a matter of fact it was a challenge and it was hella fun.

I'm looking forward to the sequel Dark Souls.

I think the game I got most addicted to this year was definitely L.A. Noire. So many all nighters pulled to get achievements for XBox.. kind of ridiculous, really. I'm also a Call of Duty fan, I'd have Modern Warfare 3 right now if it wasn't for me being so broke!

Others have mentioned Skyrim, too, which I'm also quite excited for. I'm a big Elder Scrolls fan.

As for another game that hasn't been released... well, I'm excited for Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. Finally, an online 4-multiplayer RE co-op! So psyched to play when it comes out!!!

Right now I'm dividing my time between League of Legends, Battlefield 3 (because I'm tired of the CoD games for now), Fallout: New Vegas, and when I have some spare time I want to play through Amnesia: The Dark Decent that I snagged off steam for $4. I think I'll play it some night at 3am, with all the lights off, after watching "The Grudge". That should do it.

But I also love WWE SvR. Just wish they would add more content for the women's division. It's WAY too limited.

I'm RPing in Age of Conan again, I keep getting drawn back to that game because the lore is so excellent. Plus it's free to play, which fits my budget perfectly.

Favorites of 2010 / 2011?  Probably Super Mario Galaxy 2, BIT.TRIP RUNNER, & Hitogata Happa.

Re: the discussion on classics.  My favorites by genre are probably Ridge Racer Revolution, Chrono Trigger, Ikaruga, Advance Wars DS, Shadow of the Collossus, & We Love Katamari.  Xenogears is a close second to Chrono Trigger and if they ever got Xenosaga straightened out, you probably would see a remake, since it was supposed to be the fifth game in the series, much like Star Wars.  And yeah, that second disc was a mess.

Oh, and Koi Koi.  Koi Koi is an amazing classic game.
