Shaving my face! I hate it. I am living on a limited budget and so I can't afford laser or elctolysis. It has on occasion been so hard to do that I just stay home. Some weeks it happens more then others. Sometimes it seems silly to me that I let something as small as shaving. Am I weird this way?

omg no way your not alone. my face is sooo sensitive now that shaving completely irritates the crap outta my face. i just ordered pizza cuz i dont wanna shave just to go get food, but i would have too. being full time sucks sometimes when something as small as having to shave really dominates my life, but it does.

I have ugly week. I get my face wax every month I hate shaving. I don't like hair on my face but in four day I have all pulled out. I shave about two times at the end of the month to get it even for the waxing. Some spots stopped growing which helps it is more spaced a part.

Dysphoria is quite a weird and hard thing to live with. I get the same feelings as you do, though I just suck it up and shave when I must.

I realised it was seeing the bald patches on my scalp that was getting to me, so I now put my hairpiece on first and tie it back.  I just see a woman with facial hair now, and have no trouble with shaving.

It's not the shaving that I have so much of an issue with, as the need to put foundation on on top of that.  But wait, now I'm too pale with just foundation, so add blush.  But my lips look weird next to the pale foundation and my eyes need something to bring them out - bang, full face on.  Just to go out and get some McDonalds.:)  I've also went the "order in pizza" route on a few occasions!  Any suggestions on the shaving/foundation thing would be much appreciated!

Oh no you are definitely not alone in this. I totally hate having to shave my face but I can't afford laser or electro and can't epilate my face-tried that and won't do it again! My beard is quite thick and grows in all different directions so I have to attack it from different angles over and over again which burns my skin horribly but it's better than letting it grow. I have the most problems underneath my jaw and chin. No matter how many times I go over these areas there is always a little bit left-drives me nuts. It is merely one of life's necessary evils that I must tolerate for now.

I haven't started wearing makeup yet but plan to soon.

I couldn't agree with this post more!

I did however find that when I get a Laser treatment, I can actually go like 1 month without having to shave at all!!!

Which is like FREEDOM!!!   Kinda makes it sumwat worth it...

I call BS on you, theres no way u were a man.  You look like all my female cousins. Not to mention im kinda biased, 'cus i love women with short "spunky hair" makes them seem like they have a "I dont give a ->-bleeped-<-" attitude.  Makes me think of wild untamed beauty.

Go to Groupon.com and sign up for your local area. I get email offers all the time for AWESOME deals on laser. I'm kust waiting a little longer becasue I'm kinda hiding behind the beard shadow although I'm not sure how well that's working for me, lol.

Stupid groupon has deals only when I'm poor!  I get up, shave with a 3 head (9 blade) electric razor, heat up my face, shave with a disposable, then put on olay lotion, wait ten minutes, then put on dermablend every day. All I use is dermablend, so it's easy to wipe off and touch up later.

I had a very thick jet black beard and mustache, laser hair removal was my only option. Shaving didnt do jack!
