Bombi

Hi, I'm Bombi.I haven't been around for a while. I am living in the US Virgin Islands and plan on being here for a while enjoying the endless summer.I recently interviewed for a job and struggled with how to present myself at the interview. The job is for a facility manager at a condo resort. I knew I had to appear professional so after a discussion with my wife about my wardrobe, which consists mainly of women's clothes, I decided that I would be up front about my CD/TV appearence. To the first interview with the board of directors I wore a pair of kacki womens pants and a pale lime green pastel sleeveless polo shirt.and a pair of slippers. My bra was clearly visible through my shirt as my blouse was tucked in and my pants were high on my hips. I wore just a hint of eye makeup and a transparent gloss lip balm. I wore a gold bracelet and gold hoops in my ears.
The interview lasted about and hour and i felt that I did well. I was called for a second interview today, apparently they didn't care how I dressed. Today I wore the same pants with a pale yellow floral print sleeveless blouse and medium size gold wire hoop earings. I walked all through the facility with the maintenance manager and two board members one male and the other an attractive middle aged woman and asked and answered questions about all the systems and such. I guess it went well as after we finished up and I said my godbyes Iwent home and  I recieved a call offering me the job. I was psyched as this is the first job I've ever worked at that I can dress how I dress and feel OK about it. I start on Monday and the firstweek I intend to be some what conservative but after that I wear capris and summer tops. It was also rewarding because my wife advised me against wearing my girlie stuff but I did any way and it worked out good.

hey Bombi,

The only rule in marriage is "do the opposite of what the other half says to do."

I'm happy about your situation. You get to work without chains.

Good luck,

Becca

That's very nice. :)  It's just freezing cold around here.  Anyway Congrats on your recent achievement; don't stop to visit from the time to time and keep us updated.   I am happy that things are going well with you.

Thankyou Tink and Becca for your kind words. Tommorrow is the end of my second week and I've been true to myself. You don't realize how limited your wardrobe can be untill you try to wear something different everyday. I have 4 young adult Wonderful Black men working for me and I'm sure they have noticed that I'm wearing feminine clothing and the outline of my bra beneath my blouse. the men here are very macho but I feel they are accepting me and how I look. My wife has just about stopped commenting about my appearence except for an occaisional correction like today when I put on a padded underwire bra that she said didn'tlook right. I stopped at a consignment store "Cabana Girl" and got a pair of tan capri pants and another pastel green blouse. So far so good. Luv, Bombi
