Yes, transitioning is a rather painful experience, anyone who tells you different is full of stuff... Sure when it is all done and over with people move on saying they feel great, and they should if they so desire... Even if you have the funds to go through it fairly quickly, it is no walk in the park... It will be physically, emotionally, psychologically, socially, and financially painful... Sorry

Of coarse those of us who are in the process of transition understand this to varying degrees, But most of society does not understand what we go through... Most folks, even if they are tolerant, just want to make superficial judgements about us

I've also noticed this superficial behavior among some of our own and often it is blamed that interaction on the internet is not real life... Well, I hate to break the news to ya, but I AM AN ACTUAL LIVING, BREATHING HUMAN BEING AND THE PEOPLE ON HERE ARE ALSO ACTUAL LIVING, BREATHING HUMAN BEINGS AS FAR AS I KNOW

Sorry for the rant

I get the frustration.  Some of my friends have been saying things like "I like you better as a guy", or trying to convince me not to do it, as if they think it's a decision which takes nothing more than a quick surgery that I'm doing for the hell of it.

Very true. The only thing I would find harder is not transitioning.
