Hey guys, my name is Sebastian and I was born female.
I changed my name a long time ago but I'm definitely unsure of my gender. I guess I was always envious of men, I always wanted to be a man and I've battled with this for a long time now.
I've come to this site to make friends and discover myself along the way. Thanks :)

Sebastian,
  Welcome to Susan's!
This is a forum of people that were and/or are unsure of their gender.  You've come to the right place.  But you still need a therapist you can see face to face to help you find your way.  The earlier the better, don't wait until you're 58 like me to get help on this!

It is never too late.

Us mature types just get jealous of you youngies because resources like the internet didn't exist. So we were alone.

Oh no, don't say that Joelene, at 60, better late than never?   ;D

Hi Sebastian, and welcome to Susan's! We're a diverse and friendly bunch here (the head count is over 8400) - get into things as slowly or as quickly as you feel comfortable, I'm sure you'll find plenty of support here.

You don't need to be sure of your gender, it's perfectly fine to try different versions of yourself on for size and see what fits - and you don't have to wear the same outfit for the rest of your life :). Take your time, listen, talk, experiment. You're in good company here.

And be sure to check out these links for the bobby on the house rules:

There's many kinds of people here, but we all have a big thing in common, and that's that at one point in our lives we felt like you, or we still do. You will find a lot of support here.

Welcome! And make yourself at home. :)

Hi Sebastian,

This is a great place to explore!  You'll find just about every way of looking at gender here and you'll probably find some stories that will help clarify what gender means to you.  Don't be afraid to ask questions!

Huggs!
