Is this ignorance even worth my time?

"rosie, you have no idea if this kid has female organs and i'm assuming if he did they would have mentioned that in the article. more likely, he just likes "feminine" things like dresses and pigtails and since we live in such a closeminded society feels like he must be a girl. if only parents (and shrinks) would only tell these kids that it's okay for them to like whatever they want. it doesn't have anything to do with being a "boy" or a "girl." obviously, a little boy wearing dresses and pigtails is going to be a target for bullies but a little boy who says he's a girl is in for an easier life? ultimitely having his gentials butchered is better? please. in our quest for acceptance, we have allowed madness. if someone actually has a biological condition which makes their gender dysmorphic, then of course they should be allowed to choose which one they prefer (although in an ideal world, why must we only have two genders?). but most transgendered people are biologically correct"

"correct (xy or xx). their only problem is aligning the way society teaches them a "boy" or a "girl" is supposed to act with the way they feel. do we really want to live in a world where it's more acceptable to butcher your body than it is for a boy to wear a dress?"

Even in death, may I be triumphant.

Where's this from?

The person seems to be so close but so far from the truth of the matter. It's not how your body is made, it's all about your brain and, some might say, spirit. It's a simple fact that boys and girls are different, in both body and mind. So what happens if someone is born with a boy's body and a girl's brain? That person will generally end up being transgendered in some way.

Hey, I'm into things like video games, sports (to an extent), and computers, but I still feel like I'm truly a female yet I was born "biologically correct". I still want to have a female body to match my female brain, including my genitals. Where does that leave me in that silly hypothesis this person has? :P

That's my two cents, anyway.

I understand what they mean because when I was questioning myself I took a gender and sexuality course to learn the difference between male/female and masculine/feminine. At first I thought I was just full of ->-bleeped-<- for feeling male.

Then I realized the only thing that makes me transsexual (assuming this is about transsexuals and not transgenders in general) is that I have the wrong sex organs. That's it :/
The story is the same, I've just personalized the name.
