What's behind transsexual attraction?
A transwoman wants to know what kind of men watch "T-girl" porn. Are they the same ones who bash her in real life?

I'm gender queer and was told by a friend that the porn shop she worked in carried a wide selection of magazines and films catering to an interest in transwomen. That sort of implies it's popular enough to support that much material on it — which is really interesting when you think of the way many straight males react to any other "male" behaving in a "female" way. I really wouldn't be surprised to find out the guys who try to bash me are secretly turned on by my existence — although, I'd prefer they just send flowers or something. Is this becoming a more common attraction?

Seriously, FTD.com! It isn't that hard. Sure, flowers cost more and won't last as long as self-hatred, but that's a good thing.

Back to your question, though: I assume you're talking about transsexual women who haven't fully transitioned, since that's the most popular type of gender queer porn.

Interesting article.

that is not easy to say

If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

Sure it's easy to say! Guy-n-ann-dro-more-f-oh-feel-ee-ah. Gynandromorphophila. A sexual attraction to combination of both male and female morphology. I don't know if people who are into that kind of porn are more likely to bash on transpeople, but it's a reasonable suggestion. I mean, Sen. Larry Craig was to gays what Sen. McCarthy was to Communists, and look what we caught HIM doing! The people who like this sort of pornography may be trying to dissociate themselves from their tastes, most likely out of a sense of shame and embarrassment. It's like the ultra-macho guys who go absolutely ballistic if you even MENTION homosexuality. They're just THAT scared of being associated with it.

Personally I find this pornography to be distressing, primarily because it is a visual representation of my current condition (female trapped with male genitalia). It upsets me.

I think that some of the ->-bleeped-<-s are actually closeted transwomen who have not yet come to terms with it.
