How do i keep my roommates's new puppy from 'attacking' my feet? it has plenty of chew toys yet ignores them when i enter the room and tries chewing/nipping my feet and legs.

it's natural for puppies to try and catch moving objects.
he'll grow out of this.

you can distract him with his toys.

Your heel meets puppy's face.

Cruel, maybe. Effective, yes.

if you want to help puppy develop fear and possibly aggression, then kicking him would be super effective.

the only one acceptable way to discipline a puppy, is to behave exactly like mother dog - shake him by the scruff a little (not lifting his full weight of course) and bring to his bed/sleeping mat/crate.

but distracting him with toys is so much healthier for the animal. and you get to play with a cute puppy as well :)
