Hi ladies!

I hope you don't mind me popping in for a minute to ask a quick question? :) In the guys section of the forum there is a medical grade silicone prosthetic that we're all getting really excited about, but one downside to it is that the adhesive that is used to glue it to the body is very expensive for a small amount. I was surfing the net and came across one called the 'Hollister Medical Adhesive' along with a lot of references to it being used to glue on breast forms. So I thought maybe some of you girls might have experience with it? (I really hope I'm not offending anyone by asking!)

But if anyone on here does have experience with this adhesive, I'd really like to know if it lasted well, if the bond was strong, and if it seems capable of holding a fair bit of weight. Any feedback would be lovely! :)

the only medical adhesive that I am aware of is that which is used in lieu of sutures or in addition to sutures to help a wound heal faster

Yes, I think that's what this stuff is used for primarily, but it can also be used to adhere prosthetics to the skin. :)

This is the one I'm talking about.

I use the Hollister adhesive for my breasforms. The adhesive will hold them in place for up to 2 whole days before they start to peel away. I can even ride a bike without them shaking loose.

It doesn't necessarily wash off very easily, though.

I use it with my breast forms and they hold perfectly even without a bra.  As Shades said, it doesn't wash off easily but Goo Gone (Walmart) will get the residue off.

I always wanted to be someone.  Now I am someone.  It just isn't me.
