So, I will be honest. I am a little nervous, since I am not really one to usually join forums and such, but I figured the support would help me.
My name is Ayden (sadly not legally, though), I am 24 and currently a senior at my university. I am FTM and identify as a gay male, though I am pre-everything at the moment since I have just recently been able to accept that I'm really not weird at all. I am in the long term relationship with my partner, who has been the most supportive person I can imagine. He knew and accepted me as a gay man before I was ever even able to say it out loud, so in that regard I feel very fortunate. Aside from my partner, my dear friend is the only other person I have told, and she has been the best friend a boy like me could ask for. I live in a fairly small town, so I am having trouble finding a Gender Therapist. I am hoping the therapist I will be seeing on Monday is able to help or refer me to someone who can. At current I am forced to live as a straight female in public due to a variety of reasons, though we will be leaving not only our town, but the country for a few years and I am hoping that I will be able to begin my transition while we are away. I honestly have no idea how to even begin talking to my family, and I am expecting a horrible fight on my hands from my father and grandparents. My whole family is southern and very Southern Baptist, so it will be interesting to say the least. For now I am happy to not tell them anything and to focus not only on myself and what steps I need to take to become the fabulous man I really am, but also to enjoy my life to the fullest now that I have finally accepted who I am.
I enjoy video games, card games, board games... pretty much any game I can get my hands on as long as I can be overly excited while playing it. I read like crazy, drink coffee like it is my life line, sneak out for the occasional smoke, and can hold my whiskey better than anyone I know. I am super partial to boots (as long as they are not Uggs), cosplaying, my baby ball python and disco music.
And that is just about everything I can think to say about myself. For now.
