A BAHRAINI lawyer is set to take her third sex-change case in an ongoing quest for rights of those suffering from a gender identity problem.

Fouzia Janahi is now waiting for a medical report stating the health condition of her Bahraini female client.

"The medical report will include full details stating the chromosome pattern of my client," she told the GDN.

"Once we have all these details ready, I am planning to take up the case legally by January."

Ms Janahi said because of the nature of the case and lack of a medical assessment, it was too early to provide details about the case.

However, she revealed that the client was among five Bahraini women who have approached her to assist them in legally changing their sex.
