it took me a long time to get over that too. I always thought they were all like DIVINE. I thought the illusionist type looked like hot mamas.

When I came to the realization/acceptance of being trans (in a rural southern town), my first friend in the trans community was a drag queen. She helped me out quite a lot, and gave me advice on how to look right, most of which I didn't take   We were as different as night and day, but that didn't matter. She was like my mother or sister.

The extra hotness that was brought out in my transition the last 6 months was due to a drag queen telling me I should stop being boring. It was kinda iffy if I was going to de-transition 6 months ago. She helped me bring out the evil inside.

@disco shark I am tomboyish but that don't change the fact that I want to look girly when I go out the door. I don't care who teachs me how to put on make up as long as it looks right on me. your friend looks nice to me. the clown thing could depend on where you are. I see clowns here where I live but not all.

Your friend is very pretty, Mahsa. I can't say I've ever met a drag queen - don't really live in the right world unfortunately. I've tended to picture them as the clown stereotype I'm afraid.

And thank you for the qualifiers at the beginning about tomboys. It's nice to feel remembered. Though actually I've found that I get more comfortable wearing makeup the more masculine my dress is... so I've been experimenting with it lately. I kinda like the femme face, butch clothing look on me. Need to acquire more makeup now. You've recommended MAC before, any other brands you like?

Anything but mac for foundation... They make great shadows and their brushes are perfect.

   Clowns scare me.
