Princess of Hearts

I maybe wrong but I haven't seen any FTM's with these names:

  • Chester
  • Stanley
  • Beauregard
  • Horace
  • Silas
  • Seth
  • Cyril
  • Marmaduke

I like the names Beauregard and Chester.   Beauregard comes straight from the ante-bellum South, and Chester has a bright, cheerful air to it:

For the sake of balance here are rare mtf names:

  • Evangeline
  • Ruby
  • Morgana
  • Cecily
  • Noelene
  • Waylene
  • Googie
  • Rupertina
  • Dahlia
  • Hermione
Is this because with the possible exception of the Australian -ene's those names strongly suggest some female relic of the inter-war years?

  •

Felix

I betcha there's a Hermione or two.

I like Silas and Dahlia.
everybody's house is haunted
  •

Rebekah with a K-A-H

Names generally go through generational cycles of popularity.

I've never met anyone named "Googie" or "Beauregard" or "Silas" or "Rupertina" (or many others of those names, in fact).

Felix

I've known several Beauregards, but they all went by Beau. And they were cis. And it was in old Southern towns.

  •

Wolfsnake

I know a Silas! He mostly goes by Sy, though.
  •

Cindy

I knew a Theresa, her second name was Green.

I know that Ringo Starr had his son named Zac. It was a standing joke that he had a son to put his money in to.

People should be more careful of naming kids, I know three Richard Heads. For goddess sake!!!

I also met a 2 yr old recently, called Felicity Ursula Catherine K************, her parents are shocked by their friends reactions. They claim they had no idea, they used her grandparents names.

People can be very strange

Jelly = Jealous

I was being sarcastic. And I didn't get the Richard Head thing until I looked at this thread a second time. xD

What about  'Queenie', after Queenie Watts?

Or how about 'Bert'?

Seth in America is a trendy, cool name.  Here in GB it is a very old-fashioned rustic name.

  •

sigmafan

I know a Hayden.  How about that for a rare FTM name.
  •

Silas

-waves frantically- 8DD I'M A SILAS! Except it's actually my middle name. XD But I generally go by "Chris" or "Silas" anyway.

I've met a Noelene, Cecily, and Ruby. Although the first two were old women and the Ruby's I knew were a young blond girl and a big fat Latino XD

Never met a Rupertina. Thank god, perhaps. XD
Seth seems like a pretty common name. I do know a Chester, he's cool. Not FTM, but still cool.
