There's no hair on my face.

Reminds me of when I was 4 and put shaving cream on my face at and tried to shave with a plastic toy knife.

Felt pretty manly afterwards.

But once I hit puberty I was all like:

I had to steal it okay.

I confused the hell out of my mom when I told her I was trans.
You know how parents are, always trying to look back for signs.

When I was a kid I tried to shave with my dad's razor a couple times. Shredded my upper lip and thought he was some kind of magician for being able to do it without getting bloody.

Shaving today made me feel pretty badass, even though it was absurdly pointless. And my very suggestible daughter said it made me look handsome.

I shaved my face for the first time in a week today right after wiping off the chocolate frosting a friend glopped on me. Happy birthday to me. XD

...And I just felt a spot I missed.

Once, I got a 1' cut from shaving my cheek. Actually, that was like... last month. I fail so much I win.

I've never looked at shaving from your point of view. It's kind of interesting that some men find it to be fun. I have never, ever ever, liked shaving. But I couldnt stand not to either. there was one point in my life where I didnt shave because I was in a wheel chair at the time because my leg was crushed by a fork lift. By the time I could see how I looked in the mirror in the bathroom, I looked like a Musketeer. And then I let it grow into a mustache/goatee combo which I thought would look cool on someone else but me. I just wanted to have one photo of me sporting one when I looked back on my life many years from now and say, " LOL WTF was I doing?
and here it is.

I suspect I won't find it to be much fun when I have to do it all the time. Right now it just makes me feel a little taller, a little more like a grownup.

I'm going to not tell you how adorable your male presentation was, because that might be seen as disrespectful considering your actual gender. Yup, not gonna say a thing.

I was in a wheelchair for awhile once. I kept my hair under a bandanna cuz I so rarely washed it. Luckily I didn't look at a lot of mirrors back then. xD

I'll probably put that picture up somewhere and tell people that was my brother or something. I hadn't really thought of myself as attractive, and to this day I still dont.  But telling me how cute I was, etc. thats not going to bother me one bit. it is what it is right?
Oh and I didnt have to start shaving until I was 19 or so. I think that whoto was about 1 week's worth.. or maybe it was 2 weeks worth of growth.

You look cute in your profile pic, too, which I assume is recent.

And that it took that long to grow that hair bodes well for transition.

When I first shaved, I underestimated the strength with which I'd have to push down, and the blood taking a bit of time to flow, and not being all that sensitive to pain, I had two near identical gashes in my face, one on the left, the other on the right - at about the point I wanted to stop my sideburns.

Thank you. I took that and a few photos I posted in the [could I pass one day] MtF thread last night.  I've seen quite a change in my hair all over since I started HRT. now my body hair is fine, I have hair growing back on my head at my hairline and it got thicker. And my facial hair... well, I shave once a day and by next morning, I barely have stubble.

I did the same...when I was about 10.I dragged the blade down and along the edge of my jaw line and took off the skin.Bleeding everywhere.The line of skin cut out was 3mm wide and about an inch long.eeeeeeow

So I thought I could do this once, and because I had no facial hair it wouldn't make a lot of difference. But I've shaved twice since then, because pokey peach fuzz doesn't feel very good to my hands. It also looks weird on my chin and upper lip, even though it's blonde and hardly there.

First world problems.

It's good practice. Eventually you'll have thick course hair growing on your face and you'll be annoyed by it. Give it time. Then you'll be shocked by how quickly that hair spreads to your chest then to everything you touch... Just kidding.
You can have fun with  the shaving cream to play with your looks. See how you look with a Porn Star Mustache, the Fuu Manchu style, the Soul Patch....
