I might be getting chest surgery soon (yay for my mother, who might just loan me the money). I'm about an A cup, so I'm thinking of getting a keyhole/periareolar from Dr. Beverly Fischer. Transster.com has some really great results photos from her, and I've seen her web site--anyone know anything else about her? Any bad results? Complications?

Also, I saw some keyhole/periareolar results from Dr. Menard, and they looked good (and were a lot cheaper, about $3000) but I haven't seen enough of his results to be sure. Any idea about the big price difference?

I don't know much about prices, nor do I have personal experience (yet).

But I can say that I'm also looking to have keyhole surgery and Fischer is pretty much who I've decided on. From what I've seen, she's the best. McLean has some good results too but I haven't seen a ton of pictures. Menard hasn't really convinced me yet, however, and he's in Canada. (But so is McLean.) The only other surgeon I've considered was Brownstein. He's in San Francisco. Usually does great looking surgeries but I'm not sure the keyhole method is really his forte. Fischer, on the other hand, really seems to know what she's doing.

I don't know where you live, but if you're in the US I would definitely go with Fischer. She's in...Maryland, I think. Well, she's definitely somewhere that'll be cheaper than San Francisco or Canada (unless you live in Canada...and I'd advise you to check into McLean if you do.) Hell, even if you do live in Canada I would say go with Fischer if you can afford it.

Money = results. It's know it's hard to not think 'well...it would be cheaper to go here.' But it's your body man, I think it's worth a few thousand more if you get better results.

When are you looking to have surgery? I'm shooting for next summer ('08).

Yeah, you only get one shot at it. It's your chest. Although any surgeon can have good results and bad results, I'd go Fischer for keyhole and Brownstein for double incision. They seem to be the leaders in those fields.

I don't know that Menard/Brassard do much FtM chest surgery. Their forte really is MtF, and I do know FtM's who've been happy with bottom surgery results from them.

I had double incision and went with Brownstein. Probably the most expensive, but I'm really happy with the results.

It's official! My mom and I have been talking about this for a little while, and an hour ago she told me she'd just talked to Dr. Fischer's office on the phone and I was scheduled for June. Wow! I'm speechless!

Good for you Andrew. I too had Browstein do mine. I could not be happier. But keyhole, yeah, if that is all you need and her stuff looks good, then by all means go for it.

I'm getting more and more impressed by Dr. Fischer's results every photo I see. I thought this was something I was going to get done years in the future, when I was out of college (due to financial issues, not doubts) but it looks like I'm going back to school sans boobies! What a relief. I'm going to take dance when I get back, no worries...maybe swim a little...no more having to wear a soggy t-shirt in the pool...think of the possibilities! And no hot, sweaty binder this summer...well, actually, they're going to make me wear an uncomfortable-sounding plastic binder over the surgery, so, um...only one hot binder, and then I'm home free!
