Ms Bev

I had my first followup appt with my cross-gender care physician, after my first, posted:
I'm 'Legal' today!
« on: February 21, 2007, 10:29:04 PM

The appointment went great!  All the bloodwork was absolutely perfect.  Blood levels for estrogen, testosterone, prolactin.....all perfect.  I asked about switching to injectibles, but she has me maintaining the regimen I've been on the last two years.
It took me about half a year to find just the right practice and doctor, and what a winner!  I'm moving all my medical care with the exception of emergency, and respiratory illnesses to this practice.  The exceptions are there for simple logistics.  My new gender care practice is over an hour away, but perfectly accessible in the time frames I'll be dealing with.

After the appointment, my wife and I stopped at a local IHOP for early lunch, and were greeted by all  staff  as 'ladies'.  My wife is getting used to me being called 'maam', and both of us 'ladies'. This is often a mystery, just as today.  I wore jeans, sneakers, faded glory tee-shirt under a denim shirt, men's eyeglasses, and nothing else especially feminine.  My hair is getting longer, just over my shoulders....just, and the dollar-sized bald patch is filling in nicely after a while on minoxydil.  My earrings are just 3mm silver studs, and there was nothing else extraordinary that said 'female' .....okay, if you looked carefully at the tee-shirt under the unbuttoned denim shirt, you might notice a brief glimpse of shape.  Not big, by any means, but I have borrowed a saying of ChefAnnagirl's mom (hope you don't mind!) 'Knockers Up, Baby'.  I don't hide or show them.  But I don't worry about it anymore.  If you notice or not, matters not at all to me.  I've stopped hiding them

In the ladies rest room, I hung my shirt on the hook in a stall, and my lipstick fell out of the shirt pocket, rolled under the next stall, out of reach, and I thought 'uh oh . . . trouble'....  It was simply politely rolled back to me without comment.  afterward,  other women at the wash basins just smiled nicely, made space for me, and otherwise didn't seem to think anything was somehow different.
No bells or whistles went off, no bathroom cops came.  It was just ordirary daily existence in a place that has always been taboo..

OMG!....maybe I'm beginning to have a permanent  female vibe!
I dunno.... maybe, I just blend in somehow.  Whatever, it was all very affirming, a great feeling!

Happy Bev   :eusa_dance:

1.) If you're skating on thin ice, you might as well dance.

2.) The more I talk to my married friends, the more I
     appreciate  having a wife.
