After I came out to my mom, she confided in me that she's always wanted to be a boy. She didn't feel right being a woman - she wanted to do boy things. She wasn't happy when she grew breasts. But she got used to it and accepted it. I guess she's not far enough toward the trans on the transgender spectrum to need to transition. She's an uber tomboy. I'm more girlie than her! I don't know if this counts as what you're looking for, but there you go.

Also, I have an aunt on my father's side who I consider gender queer. According to another aunt, she always wanted to be a boy, do boy things, wear boy clothes, short hair. She grew up to be a body builder. And a hair stylist who owns her own salon. She wears makeup now, but her look is ultra edgy and strong for a woman. I take some inspiration from her.
