My aim is simple, I only want to look like a female member of my family.. So my inspiration is my mum and my aunts..

Okay, despite being a posed photo that was taken by a professional photographer, I think this is a more natural image.

In the other one I uploaded to this thread, I was doing everything I could to force the cleavage to appear. This is just me sitting at a table.

Yeah totally pass, and you look younger in this one.  The last one you looked like you were in your 50s.   He says you look like his aunt.   She's Greek.

Yep "it's harder to be as complementary when it's not 20 year olds"  but you do.  AAAAND which is funny he said you looked British.  I told him you were from Australia and he said "close enough"

Odd eh?

You look like Vanessa Redgrave to me in your facial structure.

Sure, why not?  No makeup or anything 'coz I'm about to go to sleep.  I did pick a flattering angle though.

No one inspires my look that I know of.  I don't really follow celebrities.  I'd be curious to know who you think I could take pointers from though. :)

Yes you pass of course.   You look like this blonde doctor on ER or one of this hospital shows.  It's going to drive me crazy until I remember who it is.  GRRRR

Well, at least in the other one I looked mature, not like some middle-aged man trying to look like a younger woman.

On the topic of ethnicity, I'm half Italian on my mother's side.

Raquel Welch inspires me

"A bit "hoochie mama" but yeah pass."   He says you should come to Brooklyn you would fit right in.

Honestly I think he's so shocked because he didn't realize how well women could pass.   So there ya go.

I hope we didn't miss anyone but he's off to bed and I don't think he's up to doing it again.   Besides he said.

"That's the point, it gets harder to be objective now that I know."

Which is what he was saying in the first place.

Night all!

If I get called a "Hoochie Mama" it's a compliment!

And I would move to Brooklyn in an instant.  To think of it, I may move to NYC someday...

Just an idea, but if 100% honest opinions on apparence and who pass or not is the goal, then wouldn't it be better to show the uploaded pics for a bunch of strangers instead, and then write down the voting-results by each and everyone to each photo?
Or perhaps even better; the pics could potentially also be printed out in Photocopies that could be shown to random strangers on the street, which would be a much better option for honest opinions, as the current guy giving the opinions on each photo already knows that each and everyone is MTF, and not the least, he is only one person whos opinions may be very biased.

The only way to do a thing like this would be in a true survey-style, really.

This is true, it's why he stopped doing it.   But at the same time I do know certain people that I showed him and he did think I was joking.  So I know for certain that several people in this thread for sure he said passed.

But I agree with the second part.   I was going to close the thread but actually maybe someone can think of a way to do it.

Total pass,  he thinks you look "cool" and likes your haircut.   Your inspiration is gorgeous.   You are beautiful.  He says "If I didn't know there is no way I would know"

Thanx, Mixie.  That's a super confidence booster. ^_^  Please pass along the thanx to your hubbie too!

Funny, you got muscles like a "Real man" and yet you look like a Bio-woman on the pic where you flex your biceps.
Now that's something not everyone can get away with. :P

Your face did go through a serious transformation, by the way. Did you do a skinpeel or something or did it smoothen out that much by the hormones?

Oh, and I just have to ask now; IS it Dara in your avatar or is it you?

HRT has been very kind most people say I lost 10 years but look at my jaw line that stands out the most and I hate it, if had anything it would be my forehead and jaw AND RoC Retinol plus other skin moisturizers, eye brow shaping and a perm AND that's little ole's me in my avatar :) OH and my brown tinted contacts, I love deep brown sultry eyes :)

Somthing about this makes me wounder, I never based my look on anyone... at one point I woundered if I should have a "personal hero" then I realized nobody had gone through what I had... so it was stupid to base myself off them...
I only ever fought to be myself. however myself at the time I begun my transition was a person completely devoted to doing well in their degree and becoming a better scientist and learning new things aswell as commited to making my transition work.

While I was always a massive science Geek I never really looked like one... however after transitioning I did notice that I HAD actually aquired an almost sterotyped look of a girl who was obsessed with science. Frizzled uncontrolable hair usually tied back, Glasses to deal with worsening myopia, dark eye rings due to hard nights and early morning starts. ghastly pale skin with geeky freckles.

It was never my intention I didn't really care as long as I was reasonably passable whitch happened. But where I didn't care about who I was becoming, my very enviroment immersed and bled into me to influence my physical appearance and who I ultimately became... O.o
